The hotel is on the 4th and fifth floor of a traditional building in a nice residential area near St Peter cathedral and about eight mins walk from the nearest termini station. In addition, you can catch a bus from a mini-plaza next to the hotel and get to Trastevere, an area with many restaurants and bars.
It is a B&B so there is no reception and you do not see the owners after you check in. The building and the room are very safe. Checking in was simple and friendly, handed the key of my room and basic information about Rome, including a map. Given the mobile numbers of the owners in case I need something.
I stayed in one of the rooms in the fifth floor. There is wireless internet available, but the spot is in the fourth floor, hence, the reception on the fifth floor is rather poor. There is a small room prior to the bedrooms with a stuffed fridge and many things (mostly sweet) for breakfast or afternoon tea. Next to the building there a italian restaurants and caffees for any time of the day, and numerous shops that sell pizza slices.
The room I stayed was adequate, not amazing but fine. Quite quiet.
What amazed me was that I needed an extra receipt long after I had left, I sent them an e-mail and they did forward it to me by post!

The staff's hospitality was great. The B&B is also very charming: small, but clean rooms in several themes. However, you cannot compare it to a 4 start hotel, like they claim it to be. Clean towels was a small problem, breakfast were some prepacked cookies (while the Italians do know great fresh baked bread) and most of all, it is very noisy. The bathrooms have a pump to get the water out of the shower/sink/toilet and it is very loud. It will wake you up if your neighbors decide to have a midnight shower. Conversations of your neighbor are also easy to understand. Bring earplugs!

The B&B has an excellent location (a few steps away from Vatican City and easy to get to as a subway station is a block away).

Very clean and nice facilities.

Overall a great experience.
