“didnt stay where we booked”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed 13 February 2012

It seems that here is some sort of scam going on as no-one stays where they booked with this hostel! BEWARE!
We were taken to another hostel - cozy b&B i think it was called, 10 min trek from where we wanted to stay - the owner was helpful but that was the only plus point.
Room was dingy and dark, had to open window as smelt and was hot which meant we had to listen to the traffic,
Brakfast was a youghurt and cake bar.....not nice!
Cheap for Rome...butr for a reason! Not value for money!

“OK Hostel/B&B but DO NOT TRUST the Information About the Location!”

I stayed here with a friend during a short 3 night break in October. We had seen it advertised on the hostelworld/hostelbookers website, and thought it would be perfect as we were on a budget. However... the location on every map online was completely different to where the actual hostel was. On arrival we were taken by car to the real location which was far more out of town and therefore VERY annoying. Situated on a very busy main road , which also made the room frustratingly noisy as we had to have the window open because it was warm. Also, as two women, the area was a little bit seedy with some dodgy characters hanging around, although we never felt threatened, it wasn't a great place to be late at night. No restaurants or bars nearby, and it took about 25 minutes to walk from there into the town, so was a bit annoying. The hostel itself was clean, the room had very basic facilities, but for the price it was OK. Another big disappointment was the breakfast. Coffee (Not even tap water available!) and a yoghurt with a microwaved plastic wrapped croissant. Rank.

To Summerise:

GOOD POINTS
-Cheap (For Rome)
-The owner was VERY helpful and gave a free map with his own recommendations on where best to go
- Clean

BAD POINTS
- Poor location which is very unclear when booking
- Terrible breakfast, so can't really be called a B&B
- Noisy
- Basic facilities (shower in room was TINY and like a dribble)

Hope this helps :)

“Clean and comfortable”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 14 October 2010

My husband and I had a private ensuite room for 3 nights at Bavaria B&B. The room was clean, the breakfast was good and filling and served to us in our room. There was an elevator for the luggage...YAY!! The only negative was that the street below was noisy at night, but it was cool enough to just close the window and then it didn't bother us at all. Franco was very helpful and friendly.

“Correct hostel but lots of inconveniences”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed 14 August 2010

Arrived at 11 pm and found out that we had to stay at a different hostel located 5 minutes away from Bavaria.
The room was OK and clean, but the street beneath was really noisy (traffic and the tram) so the sleep was not as good as we wished. The staff was helpful though
