I stayed here with a friend during a short 3 night break in October. We had seen it advertised on the hostelworld/hostelbookers website, and thought it would be perfect as we were on a budget. However... the location on every map online was completely different to where the actual hostel was. On arrival we were taken by car to the real location which was far more out of town and therefore VERY annoying. Situated on a very busy main road , which also made the room frustratingly noisy as we had to have the window open because it was warm. Also, as two women, the area was a little bit seedy with some dodgy characters hanging around, although we never felt threatened, it wasn't a great place to be late at night. No restaurants or bars nearby, and it took about 25 minutes to walk from there into the town, so was a bit annoying. The hostel itself was clean, the room had very basic facilities, but for the price it was OK. Another big disappointment was the breakfast. Coffee (Not even tap water available!) and a yoghurt with a microwaved plastic wrapped croissant. Rank.
To Summerise:
GOOD POINTS
-Cheap (For Rome)
-The owner was VERY helpful and gave a free map with his own recommendations on where best to go
- Clean
BAD POINTS
- Poor location which is very unclear when booking
- Terrible breakfast, so can't really be called a B&B
- Noisy
- Basic facilities (shower in room was TINY and like a dribble)
Hope this helps :)
