Room was small but clean. Location was good. Walls are thin and you can hear conversations from the adjoinging room. Breakfast was delivered to the room and was good. Staff was helpful. Their travel arrangements from the hotel to airport terminal was rather expensive.

As a single traveller had a very poor experience. Damp wall with peeling paint, no natural light, stained bed-spread and hard cheap mattress. I asked to be moved as I was staying 5 nights, but they refused saying they were full, which I doubted. I had the feeling they put me in the worst room as i was a single traveller, and as i had paid, couldn't give a damn about my concerns. No atmosphere, no comfort, and very noisy guests. Avoid.

We upgraded to a supposedly 4 star hotel. As soon as we entered the shabby lobby with a couch that looked like it belonged in a flop house I knew something was not right. This place is not even a 2 star. Due to flight delays we arrived at the hotel at 1:00 AM and were told our room was not ready due to flooding. The guy at the front desk kept assuring us it would be ready in a few minutes. We got to the room and found dirty linens in the bathroom, no mini bar, 2 lights not working, a dead battery in the room safe, an open window and a room filled with smoke from the bar crowd below, scuffed walls,dirty blankets, and 1 extra pillow with dirty pillow case, soiled towel in the bathroom and a toilet missing a screw to hold the seat in place. There is no breakfast room as promised. Breakfast is served on plastic trays. This must be the room service. The milk for the cereal and the coffee are the same temperature. My husband's corn flakes did not come with a spoon. The reason the room had flooded was because if you tried to take more than a 3 minute shower the basin overflowed.

Be careful! This hotel is not like others, and i mean it in a bad way.
In my case, we booked the hotel via booking.com for 2 days in September 2010, but we didn't check in at the hotel. Few days later, after I received the email from booking.com about cancellation charge, due to hotels policy, I started receiving SMS alerts from my bank about charges from Pallazzeto degli Artisti! They charged me approx 1000EURO for not turning up!!! Instead of 145Euro for one night, no show charge.
I informed booking.com about it, and they did not charge me the cancellation charge additionally, as I was already way overcharged.

So, think twice before you have anything to do with these people, or you jolly well might have to block your card, and spoil your holidays.
