The Palazzetto degli Artisti Suites undoubtedly has perfect position for those wishing to visit the center of Rome and get a good the value for money, Staff are friendly and the rooms have a standard cleaning and breakfast room-delivery. The room is very basic but clean, on-suite bathroom, we had the TV but no fridge.The photographs I saw on this and other sites do not correspond exactly to the rooms, at least to us it was better, we had a nice front room with a street view, The rooms at the rear are not some of the best. Keep the window closed beacuse of the noise from the street and have earplugs (adjacent rooms) if you don't like to wake up too early. Overall, I made a good choice and I can recommend it.

We had a very nice stay here. As we expected you cannot get the standard 4 star quality for this low price and we had no big expectations having read the reviews. However we booked this based on location and got what we payed for. The room was clean, the bathroom had no issues and the service we got from all the personnel was really friendly and the wifi in the room worked well. The breakfast was typical for a small family owned place like this, but as you are in Rome it is so easy to just walk out of the door and grab a nice fresh coffee and breakfast on the way walking to the great sites if you like. So order the juice and coffee with a sweet croissant and plan your day in the room with free wifi and fill up later as you walk by the nice places in Rome. Ask for some advice for good sights and food restaurants from the personnel and they are happy to help out.

I think the reviews would generally be better if they would rate this as 2-3 star accommodation in stead of the 4 star rating as not all are familiar with the south European style (ratings varies a lot. Sometimes a 2star hotel can be superb and sometimes a 4 star Hotel can be very disappointing). Good rule of thumb is to compare prices, you usually get what you pay for. A good international standard 4star Hotel in Rome (many times rated as 5 star) in a central location starts around 200€/Night. We payed around 40€ a night here for a room so you get the point.

To sum it up:If you are looking for a place to stay in a superb location for a cheap price and good value (clean room, free wifi, air conditioning, friendly service, hair dryer, TV, light breakfast delivered to your room) and don't mind the occasional sounds from the street I would recommend this place. Ask for the rooms on the top floor and send an email to confirm that you get one of the rooms in the pictures.

The staff is rude, unresponsive, and the place is dirty and crammed with furniture.
The place is in prime location (near coliseum) but, given the price, my company paid 200 euros and overall poor quality of the hotel and the staff I cannot recommend it.

Got a fantastic deal on a room here recently, however to my utter disgust when we tried to check in was told that our room was unavailable due to "water damage"!!! We were then shipped off to a less than impressive hotel a few blocks away! No one bothered to call and advise of this situation and the staff were completly unhelpful. Cheap hotel, cheap customer service! Would never recommend to anyone!!
