“Little gem in the heart of Rome”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 14 August 2011 via mobile

We stayed in this boutique hotel during august. When we arrived we were offered to upgrade or room at no extra charge. The room was excellent, spacious, clean and decorated with antiques in keeping with the 500 year old building. We had booked a "do as the Romans do". This included a walk through the adjacent area with the concierge. We were shown the best local eateries for pizza salad and ice cream, we eat at all the recommendations. In each case the food was excellent, service very good and all value for money. I would recommend this to any first time visitors to Rome. The location is in the centre of historic Rome, within easy walking distance of the Navona square, the pantheon and the trivi fountain. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone wishing to soak up the beauty of Rome.

“We loved Navona Garden Suites”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 5 August 2011

We stayed at the Navona Garden Suites in June in the Rafaello 1 Suite and had a wonderful time. There was plenty of room (4 females so we had lots of stuff!), lots of hanging and drawer space, lovely Italian antique furniture and a little kitchen & breakfast area. Room was very quiet and beds were exceptionally comfortable so ensured a great nights sleep, airconditioning was great and plenty of breakfast supplies were included. You can't beat the location, very quiet behind the big wooden front doors, step out into the street and you have everything you need - restaurants, cafes, shops, bars, short walk to Piazza Navone, Campo de Fiori, Pantheon etc. You can easily walk (or there are buses/taxis etc very close by) to all the other big sights as well. We felt very safe and secure and the inner courtyard is just gorgeous. Traian and Carmelia are just wonderful and really made our stay in Rome a fantastic and enjoyable one with great recommendations for good restaurants, maps and lots of helpful information. (Handy having a dentist onsite too just in case you need one!). We also arranged an arrival and departure car with Traian which was perfect and on time. Carmelia is just gorgeous, she made us feel very welcome and looked after us - we felt like we were staying with long lost relatives and made to feel very at home. I cannot fault anything about Navona Garden Suites and can't wait to go back. Thanks again Traian and Carmelia for making our time in Rome so enjoyable - we look forward to seeing you again and staying at Navona on our next visit.

“Our stay was great and the location fantastic!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 5 July 2011

We stayed at the Navona Garden Suites, in the DaVinci I room, for eight days in June. The staff is fantastic, Camelia goes out of her way to help, and even let me store part of our luggage when we went to Positano for two nights. Linda gives a very helpful tour, and has great tips on restaurants, gelato, or even the what to seek out and find in different Basilicas. Traian was very helpful with car transfers. Our room was very nice and clean. The air conditioning worked great. Having a small fridge in the room was so helpful, with a coffee maker and milk, yogurt, bread, toaster, juice, cookies, fruit. Camelia cleaned everyday and filled the breakfast supplies back up (she is wonderful). I would hire her too! I did miss having a private terrace to go out on and sip coffee in the morning, people were always outside our rooms, smoking or sitting in the courtyard. There were alot of people coming and going. We will stay here again, we enjoyed our stay and the neighborhood is great. Location was the best, five or ten minutes to so many sights, and taxi stand very close. Now there was one problem and I did ask before coming if it was still happening. THE DISCO, before booking I asked if it was still there and I was told it was closed down. Not true, It vibrated our room all night, actually shakes the windows! I did not make a big deal about it to Dennis or Traian, but having read about it in previous postings was concerned. So yes it was still open, no matter what they tell you. Not sure they can do anything about it and I have had the problem in Rome before so maybe it is not out of the ordinary? Anyway we got a good price and really liked this B&B, so maybe another room away from that wall?

“The best in Rome!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 19 May 2011

My wife and I had such a wonderful time at Navona Garden Suites!! The best location in Rome (1 block from Piazza Navona), just a few rooms with and internal garden, very spacious rooms and such a great attention by Trian and Camilia! We were there for 4 days, then went to Tuscany (Trian helped us a lot with recomendations, tickets, reservations, etc.). We could leave at the Hotel part of our luggage, and then came back for 2 more days. We felt at Navona Garden Suites as being at home. For sure, this is the place where we are going to come in our next trip to Rome. Absolutely recomended!!

“The perfect basecamp for excursions in Rome”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 23 April 2011

We really like this hotel. It's close to everything, in fact it's in the middle of everything with its location only two blocks from Piazza Navona. There are only seven rooms at this hotel, but to us that felt like an advantage. The staff was superb and really helpful. The fact that the hotel is not visible from the street, there's just a big anonymous door and this beautiful inner court yard with the rooms in small terrace house made it feel like an osasis to come back to after a full days walk in Rome.
It's easy to get here from the airport, just take the local train from the Fiumicino Airport to Stazione Trastevere and from there you take the tram to the end station at Piazza Argentina. From here it's 5 minutes walk to the hotel.
