“Backpacking comfort”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 15 November 2008

B&B Almaclaudia was tiny but adorable. The living quarters are small and attached to the owner's flat. This is the cleanest B&B I encountered while touring Europe and the bathroom was pristine! Pros: Clean sheets every day, clean and large bathroom, breakfast at a local shop each morning and a friendly and helpful owner. The room is just metres from the train station which was fantastic.
Cons: Trastevere was great but a little out of the way of many of the major attractions in Rome. That being said, we did manage to walk everywhere we went including the colosseum without too much pain.

I would recommend this B&B to any budget traveller.

“Great B&B”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 30 October 2008

Its in a residential block a 15 walk, 10 min tram ride from the funky bit of trastevere - so have your 1 euro coins ready or buy a travel pass. The massive street market happens on a Sunday at the end of the street. Breakfast is in the cafe on the street - great coffee and pastries, not good on the fruit! Room is spotless, quiet, and worked really well for us. Once you are on the Tram, or bus, Rome is open to you - and the Trastevere is great for eating and bars. We did the 40 euro taxi pick up that took all the stress out of getting there from the airport. And Roberta can't help you enough.

“Charming, and Inviting and very well located”

If you want to stay in Trastevere,We highly recommend this location. You are 5 minutes to the train station, and the bus is at the corner. The room is very comfortable, with a king size bed, lounge chairs and table. There is a dressing room area that leads to an ensuite large bathroom with a shower. Your accomadations are up 1 spiral staircase above the lift elevator.I am handicap ( walk with a cane,)and managed easily to get about.Roberta and her husband are very much there for you. They will give you wonderful assistance to enhance your stay .With no difficulty whatsoever, you can reach the Hop on Hop off bus tours that will give you an overview of the highlights of Rome. The restaurants in Trastevere are many and excellent. When we return to Rome,we would definitely return to this B&B
Enjoy your stay................Adnih 45

5 of 5 stars Reviewed 26 June 2008

We were referred to this B&B by a friend and we couldn't have been happier. The location was perfect... a short tram ride and we were within steps of the Pantheon. But the location also put us outside the major tourist traps, allowing us to experience life like a Roman. The evenings in TRASTEVERE were full of life, music and wonderful food. Our hostess Roberta was absolutely wonderful. Warm, hospitable and always willing to help us find our way around the city. The breakfasts were perfect and well thought out. The rooms spotless. We will certainly return to Alma Claudia.
