This is a B&B which is to be used only by very fit people. The number of stairs (61) many times a day,can be difficult or it can be a wonderful way to become fit for the start of travel and an excuse for eating lovely luscious food. because you are very close to everything within the area of the Vatican and Hop Off Hop Off buses.
Accommodation is cramped but satisfactory for the fees charged, relativley good value for money. You need to arrive within business hours as many have trouble getting in when arriving late.at night. One never sees the Boss, even when wanting to pay the bill, plan on cash as getting the Boss to come to the premises is a difficulty for her ,and she made it clear she was a busy woman.
Gerry the housekeeper was so hard working and absolutley wonderful ,working hard to get our room ready early, as we were very jetlagged after a 22 hour flight. This was well beyond his job description and we were very thankful for that.
Beware no SINGLE beds only double.Although the steps are an issue with luggage etc. this is a lovely place among the locals and eating was easy as it was right outside the front door of premises. If younger and fitter would stay again.Reccommend Viator.com for shuttle from Rome Airport, very reasonable priced and prepaid makes life easy, in comparison to what others pay.
If catching train to Venice or elsewhere ,walk halfway to local train station and from there catch a taxi, & pay only 10 Euros to station rather than 50 Euros from B&B.
