“Vanishing Money”

it was hotel policy that keys are handed into reception before you went out so we always did so that the cleaner could clean the room, I had left our money in the suit case for safety in the room and we went out for our day trip. When we had come back it was all gone we went down to reception to rport this as they had they key all day, the Manager dismissed me and told me that this sort of thing does not happen in our hotel, I explained that it had done and asked how he could help me again he told me that this had not happened and to go away, I told the manager that I was going to call the police he said as you have not declared anything valuble in the room to me the police cannot do anything, so we went out of the hotel to go to the police station and the Manager followed us shouting abuse to us this left us feeling so uncomftable

“Keep a close eye on you valuables if staying here!”

Money vanishes miraclously at this place. Be prepared that your belongings get searched through really properly. Staff is rude, insolent and seems not to understand English in the case of complaints.
The last night of our stay I noticed that one hundred Euro were taken from a little case keeped in the back of the drawer of the nighttable. It was was obvious that someone searched my belongings since all things were reorganized.
I went to the manager, who played the incident down and told me to check my things thoroughly again - then I might find it. He did not take the matter seriously and talked down to me.
However, I agreed to check the room again and told him to come back to him, whatsoever. Clearly the money turned not up and when I came back to him the next morning he became rude, insolent and seemed not to understand English anymore.
Absolutely not recommendable.

“WHAT YOU SEE IS WHAT YOU GET! EXCELLENT FOR CITY HOPPERS AND STUDENTS”

At first I had my doubts after booking, seeing that I d had to be in at 01u00! Termini area I m acquinted with since I slept there over 30 times! This hotel was the cheapest ever, I got a clean room, and a clean bathroom, friendly receptionist, and hey I had to pay 10 euro per room to store our luggage the last day but I knew this in advance! Breakfast I didnt even try, since there is no hotel in this area wich offers a propper breakfast at this cheap rates in the whole area! I paid 25 euro per person, and yes there was no rembrandt hanging on the wall, no thermal bath, no superview, but I got to visit Rome, slept in a good and clean bed, enjoyed the cafés in the neighboorhood and had some good talks with the owner!!!! I was happy and satisfied!!

“IT'S BASIC, BUT A GREAT BASE TO SEE THE SIGHTS”

I booked this hotel as it was the cheapest I could find. We had an ensuite room which was clean and functional. It was very noisy at night as it overlooked the road but we were so knackered from sightseeing it didn't matter. The staff were always helpful and polite. You could have air con, but it was 10 euros a night, so we didn't bother. Didn't use any other facilities. I booked this hotel as it was next to the train station ( with all the usual dodgy characters around, which mean't the entertainment was free watching from our window. didn't feel in danger walking around there as there were so many tourists), so it was easy to get about using the metro and buses. if you want luxury , you won't find it herer, but if you want a base in which to explore the beautiful city of Rome, it was a bargain.....clean and comfortable. Weekend including flights and accommodation for 4 days was £300 for the 2 of us!! It does what it says on the tin!! You get what you pay for!!

“Diabolical.... Dante's seven circles of hell had nothing on this....”

We arrived ...for a 3 night stay... and merely raised an eyebrow at the less than salubrious surroundings... we knew when we booked that we would be sharing bathroom facilities, but the ''chamber'' we were shown to left us speechless.... the room was dark and dingy, the ''lighting'' was 20watts at most (possibly to prevent any creepycrawlies being seen), there was a solitary socket..(oddly, very VERY close to the sink), the mattresses were sponge, and malodorous, the view from the window was like a landfill site....
We were not allowed to take the room key with us if we went out, and to add insult to injury, we had to be back by 1am, or be locked out until 6am... the first time in over 25 years either of us have had a curfew!!!

We only stayed the one night, preferring to cut our losses, and rent a superior apartment off Piazza Navona...And neither of us would recommend this hotel to our worst enemy.
