Stayed in this hotel recently having seen how close to Termini station it is and also being attracted by the low prices. We had booked a "superior" room as having a 17 month old baby we thought we'd pay the bit extra for more space in the room considering the cot as well as our own bed. The website showed a spacious looking room which we presumed was the superior. On arriving late at night with all our luggage and the baby in the buggy, we discovered that to get to the reception on the first floor we needed the lift. Problem was, that lift needed a key to open it. Which was available at reception!! We dragged everything upstairs and were greeted by an unfriendl receptionist who completed our check in in virtual silence giving us little or no information about the hotel's facilities (subsequently we found there are none) Up we trekked to the 4th floor via the 300yr old lift and discovered that to get into the corridor you need to buzz reception and wait. Same to get in and out of all doors all over the hotel. Ridiculous. Our room was to our shock, tiny. We had barely enough room to walk around the bed. It was sweltering hot although the website had said superior rooms had A.C. This we were told was an extra €15 per night. Oh by the way, breakfast in this awful place was a further €15 per breakfast!!
I complained at the end of our stay that the superior room was a joke, that we had nothing extra to the standard. A very rude female who I found out afterwards was the owner informed me that we had a safe in the room, the OPTION of A.C and a fridge (this was empty). That made it superior. To add insult to injury, my parents who had reserved a standrd room were put up in a palatial huge room complete with jacuzzi! It turned out Hotel Dina had run out of space so they were put in the hotel attached, the Terni. She was argumentative to the last and thoroughly unpleasant to deal with. We paid our money and left vowing never to return.
The area it is in by the way is dodgy to say the least and dangerous to walk around in at night. The only thing that redeems it are the lovely restaurants around.
Never again...
