As long as you are clear that this is a shared apartment you should find this a great place. The location is great with the Lepanto metro stop about 50 mtrs away. There are excellent eating places close by. Via Cola di Rienzo which is very close by is an excellent street for all sorts of shopping.

Marco is an excellent host and was very helpful. We had a great time in Rome and will happily stay at this place if we ever go back to Rome.

My friend and I stayed at Maison Genevois 3 for 3 nights. It is in a block of flats but very clean and has very tasteful finishes. It is in a quiet area, very safe too, away from the crazy city traffic, it is about a 15 minute walk to the Vatican. It is also very near Lepanto metro station. Marco, the host, was very helpful and a pleasure to deal with. There is a breakfast room/kitchen where you can help yourself to breakfast in the mornings and after a long day out in the city, you are able to make yourself a nice hot drink in the kithcen too. You are also able to keep any stuff you need to in the fridge.
It is not 5 star but it's more than what you need - so clean, comfortable and I would recommend this place to couples, friends and families. We really enjoyed our stay at Maison Genevois 3, Marco, you doing a great job! :)

My husband and I found Maison Genevois 3 a relaxing and convenient place to stay during our trip to Rome. It felt a bit like having one's own little apartment in the city. We spent five nights there in May in two different rooms. I had originally booked a room with a shared bath, but we upgraded to a private bath when we arrived. The last night it wasn't available so we experienced the shared bath as well.
Marco, the host, was friendly and accommodating. Things were clean, neat and tastefully decorated. Breakfast was self-serve with several options including packaged pastries, yogurt, cereal, and toast. Coffee, espresso, tea, juice and milk were available. Each room had its own shelf in the fridge for personal items, something we really appreciated. After a long day of sightseeing it was nice to have a little snack and a glass of wine when we got back.
Both our rooms were good sized and had air conditioning. The bathrooms were convenient, and although we only used it one night, we had no trouble with the shared bath. The first room also had a private balcony which we thoroughly enjoyed.
As other travelers have stated the metro is only a block away and very convenient. The hotel is also within walking distance of the Vatican, Castle Saint Angelo and other sites (10-15 minutes).

This well-located B and B is in a safe, non-touristy neighbourhood close to the centre. If you are looking for safe, clean, comfortable accommodation without the need for 24 hour reception services (or the accompanying high price tag), then this is a great option. There are 4 rooms, two with ensuite (one renovated ensuite, one not - but perfectly serviceable) and the other two rooms share a bathroom. Breakfast may be prepared at any hour (self-service) - handy if you have to leave early for a days sightseeing. A point of difference with this particular B and B is the availability of the kitchen for use out of breakfast hours (provided one cleans up thereafter!). Useful for that cup of coffee, a snack or even a light meal at the end of a long day out. Marco, the manager, is extremely hospitable and is easily contacted for advice or help. He goes the extra mile to make your stay comfortable. I will happily stay here on my next visit!
