“Nice location, somewhat disappointing accomodations.”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 23 February 2010

We stayed in a "Senior Suite" - "Atelier Room" - which would be better in nice weather than in the winter. The room, with small kitchenette, was too small and had no comfortable seating. If you stay in this room during warm weather, you have a lovely private, outside terrace which is larger than the room. The kitchenette was well supplied and a definite plus for the room. The metal spiral stairs leading from the sleeping area to the outside terrace are just about 12" from the foot of the bed, causing many leg bruises. The towels and toiletries that were provided were nice, but the bathroom was barely big enough to turn around in. One of the desk clerks was quite helpful, but otherwise the service from front desk staff was spotty - gave incorrect directions to something which was just was just two blocks away, had no change to provide to guests for use in their coin operated coffee machine, etc. The housekeeping staff were outstanding - efficient, pleasant and consistent.
In general the location is great - mostly a residential fairly quiet residential area. One of the eleven nights while we were staying there they had a large party in the patio area and, as usual, the staff left at ll:00pm with no one at the front desk or anywhere else in the hotel to supervise the party which went on until 1:00am. From 11:00pm until 1:00pm the music was sooooo loud that it sounded as if it were being played at full volume in our "sleeping" room. When I complained to the desk clerk the following morning he acted offended, but no offer of any discount, complimentary breakfast or even an apology.
The wireless internet system worked sometimes and for short periods.

“Very pleasant stay.”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 14 October 2009

We had no difficulties finding the "hotel" as other have pointed out, but don't look for neon lights or anything flashy. The area is quiet but close to the center, and full of restaurants, bars and gelatterias. We stayed at the Star Room and loved it. It was just what we needed. The rooms are carefully furnished and decorated. The lighting is perfect and the garden is beautiful. Make no mistake though, this is not a hotel or a bed and breakfast. It is a room-kitchenette combo. A nice romantic designer room.

“Non Funtional”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 6 October 2009

We were fortuate to have visited Rome twice this summer. We stayed at this hotel in September. We arrived at night and had a great deal of difficulty getting in through the unmarked gates. Staff was helpful.
The rooms are decorated and furnished with designer furniture and fashions which are fine to photograph but totally non functional. They are overcrowded. Both my wife and I had bruises from smashing into things. One bed (we changed rooms) had a headboard and a footboard which made it impossible for anyone over 6ft tall to sleep.
The tiny shower had a rain shower head which poured water all over the place because it was bigger than the shower.
There was absolutely noone else in the hotel.
In June we stayed at the absolutely perfect Villa Spaletti Trivelli. For more or less similar amounts of monet there is absolutely no comparison.

“Disappointing”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed 28 September 2009

After reading glowing remarks about Villa Laetitia, imagine our disappointment in finding the Villa neglected. The front entrance was weed infested and the front entrance was broken apart with pieces of glass lying on the ground. After beeing buzzed in, we had to drag our luggage thru gravel to their reception area. We were given our key to the Garden Suite, but never was told about the property, room, nearby restaurants, etc. The staff was not helpful in our efforts to locate the bus stations, or even arrange taxi service. Very disappointing (and expensive, to boot!)

“The best place to stay in Rome”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 13 July 2009

Why stay in a hotel in the busy city centre when you can experience living in a leafy green suburb of Rome in such an amazing property - gardens, roof top terrace a beautiful 1900's mansion?
We stayed at Villa Laetita for 8 nights in May in the Loden room and I could not have imagined a better place to have stayed. The property is beautiful and you feel relaxed as soon as you walk through the gates from a busy and sometimes hectic city. The surrounding suburb is lovely and the local restaraunts are far superior to anything you will find in the 'touristy' areas. Having a small kitchenette was fantastic and there is a supermarket 50 metres from your door. The staff were wonderful and very helpful, they made us feel very welcome. Our room was cleaned spotlessly each day.
The metro station is very close - a short stroll & a couple of minutes to all the sites by train. We never had a problem getting around by train or foot.

I could not have imagined a better place to stay in Rome and look forward to visiting again.

Thankyou to Eva, Miguel and all the wonderful staff.
