“Ottimo”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 6 January 2012

With only 3 rooms to choose from we opted for the blue room with private garden, which was stunning. Great breakfast, clean quaint room and amazing upstairs private garden. Owner Luisa has her gallery in the building and her dog Tinto is a lot of fun. Located in Trastevere behind a large wall it is tucked away from the outside world. A short stroll to the heart of Trastevere and the amazing La Scala restaurant we were in heaven. This is the Roma the locals love and the passeggiata there is the best. A first class B + B

“quiet relaxing great location”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 31 December 2011

just got back from 6pm's here- rented blue room and green room for daughter and BF- have been to Rome several times and stayed in Trastevere before but this is very quiet-like a tomb- which I require- spotless-wonderful FULL breakfast- perfect area for restaurants-bars-shopping and walking everywhere in Rome-Green room is much better than Blue even though Blue costs more- David- who takes care of breakfast- checking in- housekeeping- etc, is wonderful- friendly, helpful, quiet- would like to find someone like him to work in USA- sheets and pillows best quality and great hot water and water pressure!! all this makes for a comfy stay- cons are wifi is not always "strong" no phones in room, so hard to communicate with other rooms if friends are staying or have wake up call- owner very helpful making dinner reservations.

Room Tip: only stay in Green room if possible

“Just returned home from Rome”

We just returned home from a 5 night stay at Luisa's amazing "Buonanotte Garibalidi". We rented out the entire home, a perfectly curated Italian home in the beautiful Trastevere neighborhood (close to everything!!!) of Rome. Family and friends stayed with us (total of 6 is still very comfortable with nice privacy). We had the "blue room", on the second floor, with a ridiculously large terrace. The onsite butler takes care of your every need. This has quickly become one of our few repeat destinations - both city and lodging. We'll definitely be back.

Room Tip: Blue Room has the great private terrace. Next to the owner's bedroom, who is completely accommo...

Booked this hotel in advance and received confirmation and responded to follow up email.
Received coomunication just before travel that they had resold our room using inadequate excuses about not being able to open a microsoft file. Next time this could be you!

“Secluded luxury in beautiful Trastevere”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 16 October 2011

This was a great find. We loved everything about this small, gorgeous hideaway in the best spot in Trastevere, near all the quaint corners, shops and cafes which make this part of Rome so enormously attractive. The room we had (green room) was super-comfy and convenient, bed was huge and comfortable and bathroom a bit tiny but perfectly arranged and good facilities. A delicious breakfast was served in the stylish dining room featuring textile designs by the owner, Luisa, off the beautiful green and shady courtyard (but you could eat outside under the trees if you liked) and there was a lovely sitting room with classical music wafting (subtly) around. (heavenly, after some pop-music infested places we've stayed in in Italy) One of the best things was the impeccable attention and kindness of the staff here - David was absolutely amazing, nothing was too much trouble for him, he gave us lots of help with all we needed to know and he was thoughtfulness personified. (Thank you, David!) If only all hotels could be as welcoming and relaxing and comfortable as this one. A real treat. Wish we could have stayed longer.

Room Tip: Only 3 rooms to choose from - the green room is huge and comfortable and very quiet.
