The location is excellent for sight seeing on a busy Rome street located less then a mile West of the Vatican, a few blocks from the Tiber River. The B&B is about one KM from a metro station that can get you to most sights in Rome. The Vatican is walking distance.
While the area is safe - there are not a lot of restaurants to pick from in the immediate area. There is plenty of pizza outlets though. There is a department / grocery store down the street to the right called "Coins" that has affordable drinks and supplies. Street vendors will sell affordable women 'Italian fashions' near by.
While the entrance is on a busy street, the B&B is actually located in a building behind the building entrance, and the room windows open to this quiet courtyard.
The owner Roberto does not speak very good English, but his outstanding assistant Chris does. Between the two, they gave us some nice recommendations during our stay. They have a computer with a printer, and we were able to make a reservation at the Vatican Museum that saved us a couple of hours in line.
Our triple room was bright, contemporary - fairly large with a flat screen, and good selection of English channels. The air conditioning worked fine after an apprehensive owner turned it on. Two problems with this room. First was the shower, it's the smallest I've seen. It was like taking a shower in a Star Trek transporter beam. But it worked. The other problem was the location right next to the breakfast room - where dining sounds and conversation were apparent. We did not sleep in - so it was not a big problem. They have rooms on another level.
The breakfast was very good, with made to order espresso and cappuccino. The croissants were fantastic, with plenty of meat, cheese and eggs. However the breakfast room was very small with just six compact seats.
Wifi was available, but was un-receive-able in our room right next to the breakfast room. However next door in the breakfast room it seemed to work fine.
The location was so central, on our last day we took a recommended walk of most of the sights in Rome directly from the B&B. The 3 to 5 mile loop visits most of the large piazzas, Spanish Steps, Tivoli Fountain, Pantheon, and can include the Coliseum area.
As Rome accommodations go, this B&B is a happy medium of comfort, quiet, location and price. I would certainly return another time.
