My husband recently returned from two weeks in Italy. We spent the last two nights in beautiful Rome at Atelier San Pietro Bed and Breakfast. We had found this B&B off a link from the NY Times. It was perfect. It was casual and comfortable. The rooms were clean and the bathrooms modern. Francesca, the owner, could not have been more gracious. We felt as though we were staying at a friends home.
The location is not far from the Vatican (5-10 minute walk), and while it is not in the historic area, it is a perfect place to stay and easily accessible to walking to all the sights. I would recommend this lovely spot again and again...just wish we could have stayed longer.
ps. the breakfast was delicious...very simple, but it was placed outside our bedroom door which we found charming.
