“Absolutely fantastic - I will definitely go again”

Welcomerome is welcoming and comfortable, extremely clean and roomy. It is located just outside the main city centre but there is plenty of transport into the centre available. It is close to Trastevere which has excellent food and a variey of shops away from the highly priced tourist centre. I highly recommend this guest house and would love to visit Rome and Anna Maria again.

Fantastic guesthouse. The hosts Anna Maria and mike are very gracious and always willing to help. The place is well equipped and very comfortable. 24 hours kitchen acres is an added bonus. Didn't find the location inconvenient as any place in Rome is only 30 min from here

“Lovely Option”

This is a great option if you don't mind taking a tram and bus each day to get into the historic center. The tram was an easy walk and always ran on schedule, as did the bus. The room was beautifully decorated; room and shared bathroom were meticulous. Our hosts, Mike and Maria, were wonderful and friendly. We had free use of the kitchen and balcony. I liked the small refrigerator in our room. The optional a/c (at a small additional cost) worked great. Even though this guesthouse is located in an area of many apartment buildings, it was quiet and easy to get a good night sleep. Wonderful deli/pastry/gelato shop located right down the street.

“Nice and Pleasant Stay”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 17 June 2010

Good value for money, the rooms were nice, big and clean. The shared bathroom was also spotless. We could also make use of the nice kitchen and balcony. I would say everything was very good, apart from the location. If staying in rome for 1-3 days, would suggest opting for accommodation in the centre, but if u are in rome for longer, Welcome Rome would be highly recommended. Also, Anna maria and Mike seemed to be very nice hosts (did't get to talk much to them however becasue of our busy schedule).
Tram no.8 is the easiest way to get to the centre (5 min walk to tram stop and then abt 10-15mins on the tram)

“Great knowledge on how to move around, spotless.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 22 May 2010

My wife and I spent the last three days of April in Welcomerome. Mike was waiting for us even though a little earlier to what we had been told. We had a nice room with plenty of space to put away things. Bathroom, spotless. The kitchen has more appliances that we could use and Ana Maria was around to give us a hand in whatever we needed. She had as a Roman would, an extensive knowledge on what to do, where to go and how to get there by public transportation, besides Tram 8 that gets you into town in ten minutes. Do not expect transportation to work on Labor Day. The balcony with a couch and a table, just perfect to relax after a long days walk. On our last day, breakfast was ready at the balcony with lots of goodies. What a wonderful touch. Needless to say that while getting their meals ready Ana Maria would share bits of home made dishes which were superb. The feel is different when you are downtown in a busy street and you enter your hotel as compared when you take a small ride on a bus and you get to "your neighborhood" If you want to stay in a place that feels like home, close to Trastevere the older section of Rome, Welcomerome, is the place.
