“Beautiful and Cosy with Great Italian Authentic Service”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 3 May 2011

Anna and Mike were such great and fun hosts, i truly enjoyed their company and can say that i made some "true Italian friends" hee!! They were informative about the city and history of Rome. You can tell they are seasoned in this bed and breakfast business.
The rooms was tastefully and beautifully decorated, it was big and spacious i was pleasantly surprised at how beautiful the place was especially for the economical prices. There were many storage spaces, a cupboard, drawers, study table and i always have this thing for rooms with a couch in them, it just makes the room more cozier and friendlier.
The bathrooms was a spacious and equipped with toiletries and super clean, the heater was working perfect as i am terrified of the cold. We took the shared bathrooms which was not a problem at all as is just sharing with 1 more other couple only.
I saw the other room with the private bathroom, was also authentically decorated and very beautiful as well, will want to try that room the next time i am down in ROME :D

They have kitchen facilities and high speed Wi-Fi internet which was so much appreciated.

As i stayed in Rome for more than 2 nights, i think it was a great location as i get the chance to see the neighborhood slightly outside of the historic centre of Rome. Only 8 mins walk to tram station and another less than 10mins tram ride to the city, i think it was very convenient for me and my hubby. Consider this from a person who lives in a city where you literally have to drive everywhere and hardly ever walk. The location was also serene great to get away from the eternal hustling and bustinling noise.

Down the road it has a cheap but very yummy and lots of varieties gelato galleria shop, so remember to check that out when your there.

All in all, i think it complimented my Perfect Roman Holiday!!

Thanks Mike and Anna for being such amazing Hosts :D

Hugs

J-Son and Esther

Room Tip: Room with Couch but is shared bathroom.

“Absolutely fantastic - I will definitely go again”

Welcomerome is welcoming and comfortable, extremely clean and roomy. It is located just outside the main city centre but there is plenty of transport into the centre available. It is close to Trastevere which has excellent food and a variey of shops away from the highly priced tourist centre. I highly recommend this guest house and would love to visit Rome and Anna Maria again.

Fantastic guesthouse. The hosts Anna Maria and mike are very gracious and always willing to help. The place is well equipped and very comfortable. 24 hours kitchen acres is an added bonus. Didn't find the location inconvenient as any place in Rome is only 30 min from here

“Lovely Option”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 13 July 2010

This is a great option if you don't mind taking a tram and bus each day to get into the historic center. The tram was an easy walk and always ran on schedule, as did the bus. The room was beautifully decorated; room and shared bathroom were meticulous. Our hosts, Mike and Maria, were wonderful and friendly. We had free use of the kitchen and balcony. I liked the small refrigerator in our room. The optional a/c (at a small additional cost) worked great. Even though this guesthouse is located in an area of many apartment buildings, it was quiet and easy to get a good night sleep. Wonderful deli/pastry/gelato shop located right down the street.

“Nice and Pleasant Stay”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 17 June 2010

Good value for money, the rooms were nice, big and clean. The shared bathroom was also spotless. We could also make use of the nice kitchen and balcony. I would say everything was very good, apart from the location. If staying in rome for 1-3 days, would suggest opting for accommodation in the centre, but if u are in rome for longer, Welcome Rome would be highly recommended. Also, Anna maria and Mike seemed to be very nice hosts (did't get to talk much to them however becasue of our busy schedule).
Tram no.8 is the easiest way to get to the centre (5 min walk to tram stop and then abt 10-15mins on the tram)
