We spent two days in Rome prior to going on a cruise with our 4 children and mother. We were booked at another hotel close by, but when we arrived (after arriving in Rome at 8AM and going on an all-day tour--i.e. exhausted), we were informed that we had been bumped from our rooms due to some guests who decided to not leave the day they were supposed to leave. To the credit of this hotel, they booked us into the Hotel Cavour. It was perfectly adequate, probably nicer than our original hotel, and a great location. The proximity to the Termini Station is definitely a plus. The room was spacious, especially for Europe. My only problem was figuring out that the key card had to be used to turn the lights on! :-) The staff was helpful and friendly. The included breakfast was quite good. It was a good value for the price. About 200 euro per night per room. We would definitely stay there again.
