“only good thing was the location”

The only good thing I can really say about this place is that the location was awesome. However, the beds were terrible, the single-paned windows allow any and all road noise to come into the room, and groups of people kept coming in at all hours of the night to stay in the "private" rooms. The place has like three BB rooms and then three "private" rooms and for whatever reason they only seemed to hustle people into the private rooms until well after midnight. I would finally fall asleep on the mattress made of stone only to be woken up by the sound of moving furniture & luggage coming from the room next to me. The staff also spoke very little English so I would try and describe the situation and he just kept offering me a hairdryer ... !?! Oh yeah, the shared bathrooms were very clean but they provided no towels to dry your hands and they were outta hand soap too. We paid around €70 a night and I think we could've done better.

“Location, Location, Location.......”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 23 June 2010

The best part of this B&B is location. It's one minute walk to Vatican Museum and close by Metro. The room is average with slight smell and noise because it's close by the road. Decent bathroom that are commonly use. In room service for breakfast. (don't expect much) Can't complaint much with the price. Workers are friendly and helpful. Definitely recommend this place if you need good value and good location.

“It was very had to sleep here”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 4 May 2010

Whilst like many people have noted, the B&B is pretty clean with the exception of no daily maid service that you would usually find at a B&B. Towels and sheets are changed weekly, if you're lucky enough to be provided towels.

The location is convenient to the Vatican Museum, St Peters Basilica and a transport, however, the biggest down side for me - a lone traveller in a small (45 euro room a night) without a view, without a tv, a bad spring bed and no towels, was the fact that the resident upstairs is awake until 2am each night scraping furniture across the thin woodern floor consistantly for 3 hours a night.

While the staff are courteous, they did nothing to resolve the issue, even after staying there 5 nights. I would not stay here again for this reason.

In fairness though, the rooms facing the Vatican (twin and tri rooms) may not have the experiences I did being on the otherside of the floor with bigger more adequate/expensive rooms. Expect to pay before you stay.

The bathrooms are shared and there are obvious signs reminding guests to consider other guests and clean up after using the bathrooms. This is fine, but there is no tools provided ie: towels (paper or otherwise) to help you clean up after your shower/shave etc...

The B&B is in a commercial building shared by both residents and businesses. If the tiny 3 person elevator is out of order and you have luggage, expect to climb 5 sets of stairs to the 4th floor.

“Clean and Convenient plus Charming Hosts”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 26 February 2010

I stayed at The Right place due to it's low cost, and found it to be clean, convenient and charming. Most importantly, the shared bathrooms were very clean, and one was always available. and I LOVED that we received delicious coffee and pressed ham and cheese sandwich (and cookies and muffins) in our room every morning. The hosts were extremely nice and helpful. The only negative was my mattress was not super comfortable, but my friend's bed was fine. We were in a small room, but it worked fine for us. The other rooms were bigger.
I would stay here again.

“Clean, convenient, courteous”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 24 May 2008

Edwino (from Peru) was very helpful and kind to us during our stay. The room was clean and reasonable. There were 3 bathrooms so one was always available near our room. A continental breakfast was brought to our room each morning and the we were directly in front of the Vatican Museum. The tickets were waiting for us when we got there so we had NO LINE!
Overall I was pleased with the price, location and service of The Right Place, expecially considering the options in Rome.
