“Just fine”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 14 February 2011

The hotel is quite small, very old fashioned and is located quite far from the city centre, but quite close to Bologna Metro station. We requested a double bed, which was two single beds put together, so wasnt very comfortable.TV had no English channels, but it didnt really matter much as we didnt spend much time in the hotel.
Breakfast was prettly basic continental - ham, cheese, fruit, cereal, buns, sweet pastries, juice..Coffee was the best part - really delicious even though it was from the machine.
We found receptionists quite unfriendly..
All in all, really basic hotel.. the bathroom and the room were clean. And by the way, Wi FI connection was free and really fast! We didnt pay much, so couldnt really expect too much either.

“Very good hotel”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 7 February 2011

Hotel is a good place to stay for a budget break to rome. Its location is good but very hard for taxi drivers to find, 3/4 of ours had never heard of it. The staff were quite friendly. Breakfast was chesse ham and yougurts. Rooms are small but cleaned well and the shower was nice and powerfull. The hotel has a restaraunt 2 mins away for dinner and it is very good and well priced if you are on a budget

“Could have been better !!”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed 5 January 2011

The photograph of the rooms was not as the website, to be honest I question if it was the same hotel! 'Run down, most certainly not soundproof as described and the toilet flush broke as soon as I touched it', There was a mini bar in the room which I put a few snacky items of my own in the fridge, these seemed to mysteriously dissapear after the cleaner had been in!, The pillow was wafer thin So I asked for another one, and kept on asking untill the day I checked out! there was grit on our carpet which remained throughout our stay, maybe the maids should be shown a hoover!
It seems that I am just moaning, I really dont want to,
Having said all the above The lady who prepares the breakfast really should consider a career change, RUDE, is not the word, If looks could kill! 'Ask for a coffee and she clearly didnot want to get it, 30 mins later and a chat with her colleagues, then maybe you would get it, the bread and croisants were stale, she seemed to favour the Italians when a group of Italians went up to get some croisants she appeared with some fresh ones for them and suggested they put the other ones back, which they did after they had all been man handled. In the short time I was there I saw one guy at the reception moaning that his door was hanging off, One guy moaning that the safe did not work, and one lady complain that there was no hot water in her room. Me and my partner was clearly not the only ones with issues! I am sorry to be a moaner, I really would like to find some good words to say!

Very good value. We booked two double rooms for a great hotwire price of $38.00/room.Room was nice. Breakfast was good.Staff friendly and helpful.Regular rate of 50 euros/night is well worth it.Quiet hotel bus 61 to city center is one block away

“Did the job nicely, not fancy but perfectly adequate”

I took my 60+ inlaws, wife and 2 year old to Rome and stayed in Osimar for 4 nights. It was quite far from the airport and yes it isn't central but it isn't bad at all. The area it is located in has some nice restaurants, good shops and it is only a 10 minute walk to the nearest underground station which can get you in to the centre in about 10 minutes.
The hotel itself is quiet, the service functional (noone is overly friendly but not rude-somewhere inbetween) and breakfast is great-lots to eat and drink in continental style.
A taxi ride to most places of interest in Rome is about 15 Euros one way.
