“would not stay again”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed 13 November 2010

We stayed at this hotel in May for 4 days, it is a nice B&B and the room we had was lovely and clean, but we could hear another guest (or staff) at night and early in the morning coughing and making horrible noises, that really was not nice at all!!! we had breakfast on our first morning and we can only describe it as muck, scramble eggs that looked like they had been put into a pan and then turned onto a plate a second late!!! yuck, we ate out for breakfast from then on. the hotel is located in a very nice neighbourhood a bit out of the way from the centre but about half an hour walk trough villa park bolognese,, the park was very beautiful and we enjoyed our walks through it every day, we had no trouble finding locations at all. the staff were friendly enough but not out of your way helpful, they never seemed bothered! we would defo stay in the neighbourhood again, because it's out of the way, no noise etc, and the walk to the main part of Rome was always beautiful, but we would not stay in this hotel ever again.

“If you like appalling service in 4* hotels, you'll love this one.”

This hotel should be a fantastic independent hotel that gives personal service to those visiting Rome. It is situated in a quiet but well connected area, and has a beautiful courtyard to the rear. Our room was well appointed, but the whole experience was spoiled by appalling service. The staff were ambivalent to our presence; after day 2 of 7 days, we were made to feel like nuisances rather than guests. We were not acknowledged by the receptionist - no eye contact or greeting. The receptionist smoked whilst we were eating in the courtyard. Our room was not serviced one morning. Breakfast was dull, clumsily served and missing choice or variety. Overall, it appeared that there was absolutely no emphasis on looking after us as hotel guests in a 4* hotel, with only 3 rooms. Recommendation: spend your money elsewhere.

“When in Rome at Le Tre Suites eat the eggs”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 26 July 2010

A lovely location where you can walk to galleries, parks, museums shopping and of course central Rome with all the historic stuff. Then come home to a unique room to soak your feet after the Roman cobble stones.

Best Eggs for breakfasts - really - check the guest book its what we all said.

Buses connect you to everywhere and the staff are so helpful to get you to your detinations.

Relax and breathe in Rome - its been there for yonks - it takes time to get around it. Throw a coin in the Trevi - I did and I was back there the next week!

“Bugs, worm, smells humidity”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed 16 May 2010

We had the "dipendenza" room, it was a disaster.
The room smelled humidity, there were many dusts on the bed.
There is a tree in the bathroom (bad idea), so we have found many spiders, worms, ants, in the bathroom.
Because of the tree there are a lot of barks in the shower.
There is not shutter for the only window of the room, so we were waked up very soon in summer.

However, the staff is pleasant, and the breakfast is delicious.

We do not advise this hotel.

“Tre Suites - Tre Chic!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 30 October 2008

We stayed at the Tre Suites hotel for one night on our return to Rome after a week in Florence and Venice. We chose the hotel because it sounded small and charming. And it didn't disappoint.
It is located in Pinciano, a very upmarket area of Rome, just north of the Borghese gardens and a short bus ride (the area is serviced by three different bus routes) into the city centre.
The hotel occupies part of old apartment block, and is accessed via a secluded rear courtyard garden, lined with bamboo and banana palms.
We chose the Neoclassical suite, which was large and overlooked the garden. There was a small sitting area complete with two Art Deco armcharis beside the bed, which was dressed with expensive linen bed sheets, The adjacent ensuite bathroom, with a lovely pale green handpainted finish on the walls, was also generous and well-equipped, although the shower is a hand-held affair over the bathtub which won't suit everyone.
Breakfasts, which were plentiful, could be taken in the room or out in the garden.
The male receptionist, cook and cleaner (he was a busy man) was very sweet and helpful, though obviously a heavy smoker and the common areas smelt strongly of smoke - the one sour note in our stay.

  • Liked — quiet , upmarket location
  • Disliked — smell of smoke in common areas
