Have stayed here four times and both my husband and I adore the place. Beautiful cool rooms, tasteful decor, and a view onto a courtyard where oranges grow. A few hundred yards from St. Peter's Square and excellent shopping on the Cola di Rienzo and Ottaviano. We wouldn't stay anywhere else. Elena, the girl who runs Orchidea, is a sweetie.

Elena the owner was a nice lady, but numerous problems with the room. She overbooked our room and the couple we were vacationing with had to be moved to a location 15 minutes away. One room was pretty small even for European standards. Another room that our vacationing couple stayed in only for the last night was a little bigger. The rooms are basically in an apartment complex. The fridge smelled horrible, so we could not store any water. There was no view except looking into a courtyard where the neighbors had their clothes hanging out on a line. Breakfast was nothing. A coffee machine, fridge with OJ, and some bread in a basket. Not good. The place was located right next to the Vatican and subway, which was nice. We would not stay there again.
