I stayed at the Hotel Stromboli as a part of a group tour (and had reservations given the other TripAdvisor reviews). I must say that the location was very good - close to the Termini, so easy access to transport to all parts of Rome. The lobby was pretty.
The room was basic, which is okay, but the matress was thin and hard and the bathroom one of the most disgusting I've seen (and that includes the time I shared a house with 7 other people in college). The walls of the shower were moldy and the showerhead malfunctioned so the water shot out the top of it (all the better to rinse the mold off the walls into the standing water on the bottom of the shower). The bathroom also smelled of urine. Ick.

Very central hotel across road from roma termini, room very ! small and cramped bathroom very small tiny shower . little bit pricey for what standard you should get for that money in Ireland . over all an ok hotel but nothing to draw us back there again for our next visit we will look elsewhere. The room was clean however the drains stink abit house keeping were very good with fresh sheets and towels every day, Not much of a view out the window as at the back of the hotel but very quiet then at night time so easy to sleep. when told there was abar in the hotel it comprised of a fridge in a corner with beer water and minerals in it and thats the bar.

I have stayed at this hotel twice - in July '06 and July '10. It's about as average a hotel as I've ever stayed in. Nothing memorable - either good or bad - but it's right across the street from the train station which is really great if you have an early morning flight out. The set up of the two beds in our double room was a little unusual but it didn't bother us.

i liked it..it was clean..the breakfast was nice!it was just a fews steps from metro lines kai bus stops.the staff was nice!i highly recommend it.you get what you pay.its a cheap hotel.if you want more luxury dont stay in stromboli..stop complaining alla the time.it worths the money..you go to visit rome the most beautiful city in the word you are not going to stay and sleep alla day in a hotel!!enjoy roma!!we miss it!
