“There are 3 stars but WHY?”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed 2 September 2011

We stayed here for one night after checking out from another 3 star hotel in the Termini area. This hotel was very shabby except for the lobby. The elevator was small and the rooms looked tired.
The staff were not interested in service. I was checked in but only given a room key. Apparently, you are supposed to be given an additional card so your room can use electricity. I had to see a cleaner on another floor to sort this out. They also have a curious policy of wanting to keep your room key when you leave the hotel. The shower is small and a large person could not access it at all.

Room Tip: If you can get in to the shower, the water pressure is great.

“Nice staff but low confort”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed 3 August 2011

I arrived at the hotel late, around 1am, so I didn't have much choice. Although the staff were very helpful, the comfort of the room (inc bed), was very poor for a 3 star hotel. I would give 1 star hotel, but no more. Price is quite affordable and the location is very good.

“Rudest staff in all of Italy!”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed 27 July 2011

I now know what boot camp must be like. First off the place is run-down, over priced and they nickle and dime you to death. in order to watch any of the 4 TV channels they have in English it is an extra $7.50 a night. the internet is another $7.50 etc breakfast was over priced and barely edible this was my 5th trip to Rome and so far the worst hotel I have stayed in> The Hotel Stromboli is one step above a hostel, yet charges like it was actually a hotel. And be preparred to be yelled at by the staff, everywhere you look there are signs instructing you as to what to do ( hey I am a 53 year old man so not a party animal, but was literally screamed at for walking outside to smoke a cigarette without handing in my keys STAY AWAY AT ALL COSTS

“BEST PRICE, BEST LOCATION, GREAT HOTEL”

We were booked at the Hotel Stromboli, near the Termini Train Station in Rome. We were booked there for 2 different stays. One for two nights, then again for 1 night after our cruise. I can't wait to come back to this place. Not only was the hotel immaculate, the staff was very courteous and professional. The price cant be beat, so I wasnt sure what to expect until we arrived. Their rooms are spacious and clean. Security is a plus. Their Continental breakfast was wonderful. We will be back!

“Just go there for maximum 1 night! better not!”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed 6 July 2011

well, the only advatnage of this hotel is its location near to Termini and Bus to Airport. However, you can still find many other hotels around Termini. The worst thing which I saw was that the Bathroom of my room was out of the room! So, for a 3 star Hotel it is really cheap thing to offer for a rather high price. The size of room was very small! like a hole!! So, I did not argue with them since I was just there for a short night. But I do not recommend it to you. Find another one.
