We stayed for a couple of nights and had a wonderful stay with excellent service in Aelius.
A bit hard to find, luckily I speak Italian and I could ask the "janitor" of the house if she knew about it - of course she did. Although really cosy that it´s in what seems to be an ordinary house and feels quite safe with several doors and locks. The location is very good, close to Termini but not too close. Safetybox and WiFi was complimentary and the laptop in our room worked excellent.

The rooms were almost better than presented on the website. Bathroom a bit "easier" in standard but fresh, clean and tidy.

Great service, breakfast was included and if we felt more hungry the girl in the reception was more than happy to give us more when we asked for it. Some mornings they had fresh brioches - NICE!

The only thing, if any, is the noise from the street. If I would come here again I would ask for a room NOT facing Via Volturno since we had a bus stop more or less just outside our window (although the rooms are on the third or fourth floor). Buses were passing and stopping 24/7 and the garbage trucks passing by during night were quite noisy. The windows and curtains does not make up for the noise. These are of course trivialities when living in a central spot in a city like Rome...

We are more than happy with Aelius - you get what you pay for!

I stayed B&B with my husband for three nights. The staffs are very nice and helpful for enquires on sightseeing points. Besides, the ensuite room is very clean and tidy that give us a comfortable stay. The location is near to rome termini around 10-15 mins, it is reminded that the name of B&B is marked on the litte sign of bell-ring, otherwise you will miss that location. However, the only drawback was the air-conditoned not really very enough. And we need to pour the water at least 2-3 times every night when the ac was full of water.

I agree with all the positives written about the place, rooms and cleanliness, location, price, friendliness, laptop with internet, in room safe which is free, jet spa bath.

If i had to write any negatives about the hotel, it would be that breakfast was a little scarse. We were only offered toast or croissants to eat, and there were no more than 10 croissants for all 6 guests. I still felt hungry when i finished breakfast.
There are no facilities to make a cup of tea or coffee in the B&B or your room.
Lots of noise from traffic, so not ideal in summer if you like your windows open at night. They did have an air conditioner but that was noisy.
TV channels where Italian. They only had BBC World in english.

I would definately reccomend staying here though despite the small negatives.

Warm and friendly service....Maria is really sweet!! The room was very tidy and comfortable especially after a day walking. Believe it or not a laptop is available wih free internet access. Aelius is centrally located, close to Piazza Repubblica and only 5 minutes walk to Termini station. There is also an open air market infront of the hotel and the street has many restaurants. For sure Aelius is good value for money!!!!
