“A lovely b&b on a quiet street in Roma”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 25 October 2009

We stayed here for three nights of our honeymoon, and it was great. Our room and bathroom were quite large. The staff was friendly and helpful, and the breakfast was simple but tasty (yogurt, croissants, coffee and juice). They also gave us free water, which was great for all our days of walking around and sightseeing. The room had a safe and a refrigerator as well. (The only drawback was the handful of mosquitoes in our room, due to the open windows. Italian mosquitoes are tough!)

The location was good for us - it was on a quiet street near the Via Veneto neighborhood, and it was about a 10- or 15-minute walk to the nearest metro stop, which was very useful. It was also a quick walk to the Spanish Steps and the Trevi Fountain.

We would definitely return to Domus Pinciana.

“Beautiful intimate bed and breakfast with extremely helpful staff”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 2 October 2009

This was the first hotel that we stayed in when arriving to Rome. The rooms are simple, very nice and spotless. The marble courtyard to the front of the building is beautiful. Overall, a lovely quiet place for a couple. There was some construction on the building across the street in the early morning, but besides that it was very peaceful and intimate. We didn't even see the other guests.

The staff here were the most helpful of the four hotels we stayed at in Italy. The brought us breakfast in bed every morning and went out of their way to find answers to all of our questions.

The neighborhood is tucked away in a very small corner of town about a 10 minute walk away from the tourist centers. There is not a lot to do at night here, so this probably isn't that location you want if you are seeking a buzzing night life right outside of your hotel. That isn't to say you couldn't take a cab for few minutes to find some excitment. For dinner, DO NOT miss the wine bar that is around the corner from the hotel (about two blocks away). We found it on our second night. It has a very modern outdoor patio and they served the best wine and pizza that we had the entire time we were in italy.

“We loved our stay here”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 1 June 2009

We loved our visit to Rome and staying at Domus Pinciana. It is a very quaint B&B with a lovely and accommodating staff and rooms. Elena who seems to run the B&B was so helpful. She doesn't speak much english but we were always able to communicate with her and she made sure our visit was enjoyable. We would have our breakfast every morning sitting in the little courtyard or Elena would deliver your breakfast tray to your room if you desire. I can't say enough about this place and the location. It was just a short walk to Via Veneto (major road) and to subways but just slightly away enough from all the hustle and bustle of traffic in Rome so we had very peaceful sleeping.

“small, cosy and personal”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 7 April 2009

This place is something special in Rome. Close to the area of Villa Borghese, it is 1omins footwalk from the spanish steps and offers only 4 bedrooms. As this place is so small, the breakfast consisting of strong italian mocca coffee and fresh, warm brioche and toast with marmelade and yoghurt and will be delivered at your stated time directly to your bed.

Bed is very comfortable and the room is silent. The part of the town is some sort of banking quarter, which makes it calm during weekends. Prices range from 80-130 EUR per double bed with breakfast.

“fairly disappointing”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed 4 October 2008

we had booked 6 might but moved out after the second one. the place is nice and in a quite location but also a bit too isolated. the room and bathroom are too small and claustrophobic, the toilet did not flush well (!!??), the floor was very dirty. there was no one at the reception most of the time. one of the receptionist did not understand any other language except Italian and could not call a taxi for the leaving guests of the B&B. they had to drag their suitcases in search of one on the street. the breakfast was miserable for the 130 euro they charge - stale croissant, cheap bread toast, artificial orange juice. for change i ordered the so-called american breakfast they supposedly offer but my request was ignored. i expected much more from the pictures, description and the reviews on the website but overall it was pretty disappointing and overpriced. there are a lot of hotels in the same area that offer better room and service for the same price and even less.
