“Bang Bang Bang went the noises in the night”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed 13 February 2012 via mobile

we booked 5 nights here based on triadvisor reviews, our flight was delayed because of the snow and so missed the first night (we had no idea how lucky we were) upon arriving check in was slow and the manager was in a complete muddle getting everyone mixed up, the bar area smells like an ash tray and noone serves.

the real problem is the room, we were in 430, the room was tiny, no problem it was cheap but the mould pn the wall that had been badly painted over, ridiculous! the only heating in the room is from the towel rail in the one in one out bathroom, oh and the shower turns the whole mircobathroom into a wet room.

what really did it for us tho was the banging, this hotel is currently dojng renovations on the 1st floor, but they only work 10am till about 5pm so not really a problem when u go sightseeing, the issue is the doors are so thin and shoddy everytimes somone open and closes a door on your corridoer you can hear it in the base of your spine! the doors provide no sound protection at all and someone getting out of the elevator and entering their room, it feels like there coming into your room!

needless to say after geting very broken sleep the first night we left (having paid in full via lastminute.com) and checked i to another hotel just round the corner were we managed to resume enjoying our holiday!

oh and the tv is the size of a postage stamp, but this doesn really matter as the room was the suze of a piece of A5 paper!

the manager had little interest that we were leaving 3 nights early, as he had our money and there was no chance of a refund

there are so many hotels in this area, dont stay here!

“A good clean hotel”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 7 February 2012

We've just returned from 3 nights at this hotel and overall very pleased with it. The location is really convenient if you're coming in on the Teravision bus to the Termini and very walkable to the sights in the majority.

We were there whilst the deluge of snow came down which meant it wasn't the easiest place to get to the restaurants in central Rome (just down to the volume of snow on the ground and coming down) but at any other time that wouldn't be an issue!

The room was clean, very comfortable bed with lovely fresh linen.

Breakfast was a bit disappointing but you could always concoct something, who knew boiled egg and cheese spread on bread went to well :)

All that said, it's a really reasonably priced hotel, good staff and good location.

“Very Pleased with Impero Services/Location”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 18 January 2012

We stayed 9 nights at Impero in Jan 12. We were pleasantly surprised by the size/amenities of our room at Impero. Room was great, beds were comfortable, towels were charged every day. Breakfast was OK-we never left hungry. Best thing about Impero was it's LOCATION. Close to Termini/Republica. Walking distance to many tourist sites.
Highly recomend this hotel!

“Never go back!!!”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed 17 January 2012

The location is good...close to the metro and the Termini Station...that is about it!
Dirty, old and the staff....extremely dry and rude....every single one of them.
The bedroom was old and our third bed was horrible...the bathroom walls were dirty..the hallways were weird and almost scary...I was expecting to see those dead twins from the movie "The Shining" at any moment!!!
The breakfast was bad...had many options of bread and pastries, but somehow they were bad.
Nothing was good there, but I think my deal break was the rudeness...horrible people.
I won't come back...even for free. Do not recommend it.
I am a very easy going person and always try to look the cup half full....my cup was empty!!!
Well, maybe it was just Rome....beautiful city.....rude, unpleasant people.
