“Great location, Very friendly staff, Will be back”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 7 July 2011

Myself and 3 other friends stayed in Rome Central Suites for a weekend and was very happy with the experience. The location is amazing, in the middle of shopping and the streets around it are perfect for wandering, with cute cafes, restaurants. We had a quadruple room which was perfect for 4 friends. It was one room with 2 double beds, very spacious room. Bathroom was big too and clean. We had a balcony looking over the shopping street. Everything is very close, walking to Piazza Spagna is 2 minutes and there is a metro there to take you anywhere. The reception was always happy to help with any questions of ours. The only thing is the lift was broken when we were there which was fine for us as we had hand luggage but beware if travelling with elderly. It was fixed by the end of the stay but believes it happens often. I recommended this hotel to many friends after the stay there and would definetely be back!

“No air conditioning for two days of a four day stay.”

Very hot and sweaty for two days. Manager refused to let us open the windows. After two days, after much urging, the manager called an air conditioning service company. The service company discovered that our suite was blocked off so that air conditioning could not come to our room. The room was nice but without air conditioning, it was miserable. Hotel management has refused to make an adjustment to our bill.

Room Tip: Confirm that your air conditioning and heating wk.

“Great Location, Nice Rooms, Great Bathrooms”

The Rome Central Suites was a execellent place to stay in Rome. Perfect location near the Spanish Steps among all the fine shops in Rome. The room was nice and functional and the bathroom was elegant and clean. The hot water too a little time to warm up, but that is the only small complaint I have. The management was helpful with restaurants, site and tours. I would recommend this hotel to anybody traveling to Rome.

“Excelent location, excelent value”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 25 September 2007

This hotel is a small hostel with around 8 rooms. The rooms are comfortable and very clean. The staff is very helpfull, and the location can't be beat, around the corner from Piazza Spagna! Very nicely priced, at a great location. Would stay there again anytime, I highly recomend it.

“Shoppers Paradise Intimate Hotel”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 3 January 2007

Rome Central Suites is located in a shopper’s paradise one block from the Spanish steps. This is a small hotel on the third floor; I believe it was above the Versace store. The elevator is very tiny, one person and bag at a time, but there are very wide steps that you can access the lobby with. The third floor had only a hand full of rooms, we rented both quad rooms. If you want to separate rooms request the quad behind the office since this has a room with a queen bed, hallway and then two twin beds with a small table and internet port. It also overlooks a quite courtyard. The bathroom was modern and the decor is traditional elegant Italian. The other quad is at the opposite end and is also a good size room but all of the beds are in one room. The optional breakfast was wonderful; the chocolate croissants are a special treat. We were staying with two young toddlers and the staff was very tolerant and helpful with them. We did not see any other Americans this hotel seems to cater more to European travelers. Even though the hotel is small the concierge is staffed 24 hours a day, with very helpful people we dealt mostly with Danil who was very helpful and friendly. There is no parking in this area but the staff can arrange something near buy, approach by taxi is recommended we had trouble getting within a few blocks when we came from Tuscany with our rental car. If you are looking for a low key traditional European hotel in the heart of designer shopping and the Spanish steps this hotel is great choice. We looked at many other options that would not have been nearly as nice for the price we paid at rome central suites.

  • Liked — Location
  • Disliked — Door opened to steps to the outside, have to watch for runaway toddlers or small children
  • Tips/Secrets — approach by taxi, they can better navigate the small streets to drive up to the hotel
