“Good location, spacious rooms.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 10 January 2012

The staff made us feel welcome, and were very friendly. The location is great, near to the Vatican, Castel St. Angelo and the Tiber. We are a family of five, and enjoyed three large bedrooms. The kitchen was a bit crampy, but since Rome has so many good restaurants, it was only used for breakfasts, and there is no way 3 girls on vacation are ready for breakfast at the same time. The hotel is situated at a narrow street, without the busy traffic of the main streets. We slept well every night. We have recommended the hotel to our friends. In central Rome you will have to look hard for a better combination of 3 bedrooms at a reasonable price. If you want to keep i shape, you can jog to Castel St. Angelo and the park nearby, or along the Tiber.

“Fully equipped kitchen saved lots of money”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 25 December 2011

Renting an apartment is a great choice for us...two teenagers. We had a lot of space and were not "on top" of each other. The location is excellent...20 minutes walk from the pantheon, and 5 minutes walk from the Vatican. We have been here for Christmas and being so close to the Vatican was great.

“Great for families in Rome”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 9 December 2011 via mobile

The location is great. Walking distance to many sites. Even better if you like walking and discovering. Quiet spot near the Vatican . One gets a real feel for Rome. The apartments are adiquetly furnished and comfortable . Our family of 4 , 2 teenage girls included , was very comfortable. The management is very friendly and accommodating. The only issue was the wifi that didn't work during our stay. But we managed to hook the laptop to the wall unit. Lots of cafes and restaurants near buy, several grocery stores to buy food items from. Kitchen is small but ok for small meals etc. In my opinion, best way to stay in Rome for our famy.

“Ideal family apartment offering excellent value for money.”

When you are a family of 5 with older kids, two hotel rooms is an expensive option. This apartment was perfect for us. Ours was described as a two bedroom apartment but was actually one bedroom with double bed and a lounge with sofa bed and an extra bed with a pull out underneath. They charged us 20euros per night for the extra bed which I think was there anyway, so that was an extra we were not expecting. Staff were very helpful and gave us maps and a guide book. Number 40 express bus was an excellent link to train station and main sights. There was wifi in rooms if you had your own laptop but it wasn't working so we used computers downstairs for free. Normally they charge for those. Spar shop two streets away and a great take away pizza shop on Borgo Pio. Ticked all boxes for us.

Room Tip: Higher floor might be better for light and avoiding occasional noise of scooters passing by window...

“Spacious apartment right next to the Vatican in quiet street. Outstanding!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 9 October 2011

I found Trianon Borgo Pio from Trip Advisor. All the great comments are true, and I want to add mine too. Staff are most helpful. Location can't be anymore convenient. There is a grocery shop nearby, and many restaurants in the next street. The Vatican is a few minutes walk, as well as a bus stop to Rome.

The apartment has a fully equipped kitchen, plus 2 huge rooms and bathroom. Seriously fantastic! Thanks to Pasquale, Mariana, and Lory!
