“Good Price - Really bad location”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 2 November 2010

It is as easy as this. If you have a (rental) car and don´t mind the time driving into the city, stay there. If you are "on foot" don´t get tempted booking the nice price, stay in the city! The rooms are nice but also be aware of staying on the top floor. We stayed in room 608 and had a constant background noice from probably the airconditioning units.

“Ok, but do your homework before booking”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 12 October 2010

we booked this through a comparison site on the internet and didn't know where we were staying until we paid, we paid just £80 for 2 nights for the both of us.

We read the reviews about the location before we left so we knew it was far out, we just did our homework before we left so we knew how to get into Rome.

To be honest after spending 12 hours wondering around the streets of Rome (which was amazing) spending another hour getting back to the hotel was a real pain, and given the choice we wouldn't go back to the same hotel again.

Anyway, the hotel was ok. The staff miserable and unhelpful, but we didn’t really care about that. The room was good, shower gel, towels and local TV. The beds 2 singles pushed together and there was no kettle in the room, but it was clean.

I think you can find most of the info about bus numbers to catch and transport for the area in other reviews. One thing we would like to add is about a local place to eat. If you walk out of the hotel and turn left towards Penny market and take the next right (just before the petrol station) there is a little pizza place (with a mini casino next door) tucked away a hundred meters down the street - which was really good.

One last tip - we went to catch the Terravision bus at 8am (to get to the airport for 9 ish – gate closed at 10.10am) but could not get a ticket for the 8.10, or 8.30 bus and the 8.50 bus didn’t come until 9.15am - (the airport Chiampino is 1hour away) so give yourself plenty of time

Overall, OK but stay nearer Rome – your legs will appreciate it

“Think Again - what a dump and miles from anywhere!”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed 11 October 2010

Think again if you are thinking of booking this hotel. It is a good 20km out of town and requires a walk, a bus and a metro to get to the Termini! An hour at least if all transport is on time. Our room was filthy, dark and spartan. The staff did their best to ignore you and spoke among themselves in their native language when you asked them something or tried to complain. We were booked into a different Eurostars Hotel which was overbooked and they dumped us out here. If you are prepared to put up with the rudeness and have the time to spend a couple of hours extra a day getting into and out of town only then book this hotel if they are giving away rooms for free. And even then think again. Avoid this company completely!

“This hotel is a bad joke”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed 8 October 2010

Saying that his hotel is in Rome is like calling Gerona airport Barcelona. Its well outside of the city in the middle of nowhere.
Its a fairly large hotel with fairly normal rooms. I dont see any reason why somebody would want to be here deliberately.
This hotel is max a 3star and not 4star as they call themselves ....and i payed 300EUR for a room.....sadly every hotel was fully booked in Rome.

I hope I never have to come back here again

“Value for money but with some drawbacks”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 19 September 2010

Quite a way out of town but not difficult to get to once you have found it the first time! Metro B from Rome's Temini to Ponte Mammolo then 508 bus (from lower bus park- don't go looking for it on the upper bus park - can be confusing). Ask driver for Eurostars Hotel. After getting off walk 100 metres in same direction as bus - alongside the road as there is no pavement and then turn right at large sign "Eurostars Hotel". Drive seems you are entering a construction site but keep going and the hotel is on the right maybe 100 m.Hotel is cheaply built but modern design. Certainly not 4 star even by Italian standardbut staff friendly and helpful. Free broadband both in rooms and in lobby. Didn't use restaurants. Elevators to higher rooms for some reason have been downgraded to 3 persons only and one was intermittent when we were there. Still some building work going on but no disturbance as it is in the grounds and not in the hotel.
Downside is that Hotel offered huttle into Rome centre but this has been changed without notice to local metro station at €4 and only 1000, 12000 and return at 2200. Better to get 3 day Roma Pass with all the perks as well as free travel buses, metro and trains etc plus 2 free entrances and 30% of the rest at the historical sights except Vatican.

Overall hotel good value for the money but be prepared for a hike into town. Once you know the way it is really easy. If you want a clean, well air conditioned hotel at low cost in Rome then you should consider this.
