“An abundance of character - superb service!”

I loved my stay here; the Inn made what was a rather disappointing trip (due to uncharacteristic snowy weather) much for enjoyable. To start, the inn is gorgeous in its decor throughout, and the cryptoporticus behind the reception was fascinating.
Our room (401) was on the top floor with direct access to the garden. Other than some hedges requiring minor pruning (in order to get to the garden without getting touched) the garden was gorgeous - shame it was covered in snow for 3/5 days we were there. Our room was very comfortable with the most gigantic bed I have ever seen - maybe a California King? The bed linens were actually linen - a lovely touch. I would have preferred a duvet to a comforter (for hygiene reasons - duvet covers are removable), but the bedding was very attractive. The wrought iron canopy bed was adorned with curtains, the walls were fabric covered and the chandelier added wonder sparkle and elegance. I also liked the eclectic blend of furnishings.
The 5 piece bath was very nice, the jacuzzi tub was fantastic and I made good use of it. The only drawback for this specific room was a ventilation issue, so the bathroom would get and stay very humid. There is a window in the bathroom, but since it was around 0 C/30 F, we couldn't open it for long without getting too cold. As a result of the humidity, there are some mould issues that need to be addressed - this is my only complaint of any weight (although the service more than made up for this).
The breakfast buffet was very nice - we usually did not get hungry until about 2pm because we had plenty to eat before venturing off. The evening spread was also fantastic - between the late lunches and the bad weather, 3 of the five nights I just ate a light snack there rather than going out for dinner (I also don't like dining late in the evening).
The location is fab - easy walk to the Forum, Trjan's Market, Colosseum and the Coloseo Metro station.
I would recommend taking advantage of the car services if you are flying into Rome - Taxi is 40 Euro (plus 1 Euro per bag) or the car service is 50 Euro and you have recourse if anything goes wrong (i.e. corrupt cab drivers).
The internet was liable - the code systems was a little annoying, but made sense since this way you pay for 24 hours of actual usage (and not a 24 hour window of time).
I loved this place, I will be back. And while all the staff were excellent, a special nod to Ruby who took excellent care of us and made me feel very special.

“Funky, individual hotel in the midst of history”

Both myself and my fiancé loved our experience of staying in this funky hotel. The entrance was a fab start with its Roman artefacts and modern décor. Our room was beautifully decorated and overlooked an internal garden. Being able to go through the reception to walk along excavated Roman tunnels was incredible. I much prefer to stay in hotels with character, where each room is decorated differently and has some history and you get all this at The Inn at the Forum. We were able to speak to the hotel manager about the possibility of using this hotel as our main hotel for our wedding party and I am very excited about staying here again.

“A hidden gem in central Rome”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 10 February 2012

Before we arrived at the hotel we emailed ahead to see if we could drop our luggage off before check-in allowing us free to explore the city quickly. The response back itself was warm and welcoming and really set our expectations for a fantastic stay, we weren't disappointed.

The service from Ruby, Ivano and the others was great.

The hotel itself is tucked away on a quiet street no more then a stones throw from some very impressive roman ruins and Trajan's Market. Around the corner and less then five minutes away you’re at the Colosseum and the Roman Forum. It's in a great location!!

A twenty minute walk and your inside the Pantheon and the heart of the city itself.

The rooms were well decorated, clean, and comfortable with hot/cold air conditioning and a really comfy bed. The bathroom as well was equally well appointed, clean and well maintained.

Breakfast in the morning is served on the fourth floor and is continental, not to our particular liking but there was something there for everyone. On the second day we had fresh scrambled egg made for us along with a Caffe Latte that was fantastic.

The garden and terrace when we visited were covered in snow but offered a lovely view over the ruins and the garden offers a quiet and tranquil place to relax completely forgetting your in a city at all.

Overall a fantastic hotel, tucked away in the heart of Rome which has everything to offer for those looking to explore the city.

“A Gem”

The Forum lies just several steps down from this lovely hotel on a quiet cobblestone street. The Colisseum is 2 blocks away. Very helpful front desk - they recommended La Taverna dei Fiori Imperiali just a few doors down for an authentic dinner and it was fantastic. Charming view of ferny steps out the window of our small but elegantly adequate room. Excellent service, nice evening reception on the 4th floor living room/patio with a western view - lovely There is a room/suite on the 4th floor that looks amazing.
