“Charming hotel”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 30 January 2012

The hotel is definitely charming, the staff is friendly and they all speak english. The breakfast is served in the terrace, which has an amazing view! My only problem with this hotel was they gave us a room which was outside the hotel, a few houses away. Although the room was really nice (seemed like a small flat), it killed the charm of the hotel.

Room Tip: Make sure your room is actually inside the hotel

“Honeymoon dream”

We were here for 4 days as a part of our honeymoon. The hotel has one of the best location in town with 10min walk to the tourist attraction meaning you could also experience the distance of being were the real Romans live that is often hard to find as a tourist. Restaurants in Monti area are different than elsewhere in Rome and we must say that it made our stay perfect. Sunday at lunch we ate in one of these places near the hotel full of italian families just wonderful experience. The service at the hotel was really good and no other hotel I have been to take such a good care of their clients if you need their assistance. Room was big for European standard and the decor was very nice. Evening snack was perfect to warm up for night out in the city with few drinks from the bar. We loved our stay here and would love to come back one day.

“Location, Personal Attention, Comfort and View”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 17 January 2012

This hotel is a hidden gem, literally 5 minutes to the Colosseum, Roman Forum, and Colosseo and Cavour Metro stations. The hotel is nicely appointed with larger than usual, comfortable rooms. The real difference maker is the helpfulness of the very attentive staff. From the very first e-mail, they made the effort to understand the needs/desires of our family during our visit to Rome. They made great suggestions for restaurants, tours, arranged drivers, etc. We had a family of 7 and occupied the 3rd floor in 3 rooms. The rooms are not connected, but basically across the hall from one another and served us well. One flight up on the 4th floor is the breakfast/lounge area. Don't miss the evening appetizers and go out on the rooftop for a stunning sunset view of Rome. Also on the 4th floor are two exquisite rooms that feature their own rooftop gardens. Since they were unoccupied during our stay, we toured them and I would highly recommend for a relaxing stay in a very busy city. Our only negatives were a very intermittent wifi service and some lobby construction which was just a matter of timing. We will return to The the Inn at the Roman Forum.

Room Tip: The 2 rooftop rooms on the 4th floor are exquisite.

“Good not great”

Again, I do not know how a hotel like this is considered the 14th best hotel in Rome. Still, it was very lovely hotel with a friendly (enough) staff. Our hotel room was in the other building and it was a bit of a hassle but they gave us a choice between the kiddie table second building with free wifi and the main floor room, which was nicer, but on street level and by the exit of the building. So we chose the quiet free wifi and it was very comfortable. Other reviewers were correct when stating that the king size bed is two mattresses pushed together. But this seems common in Italy. Breakfast was good. And the location is great. Close enough to the Forum but in a dead end street so there wasn't much noise. Also, exploring the area was amazing. Found a great gelato place, Chiru Chiru with great pastries as well.

Overall, a good experience. I just wish they provided slippers. Really uncomfortable to walk on harsh stone floors barefoot.

Room Tip: If you do get relegated to the second building, make sure you get free wifi. And bring your own sli...

“Great service and THE BEST location”

We have been to Rome many times and love the city. This is without the best location you can get being walking distance to everything but still so private in this hidden away street behind the Roman Forum. Here you will feel the real spirit of Roman life and not the touristy area such as the Spanish Steps or other parts. You will eat with Romans on nearby trattoria's and it's than were you figure how amazing this hotel really is. In a very small street with only 12rooms amazing terrace, garden and lounge area. Our room was wondeful with the most powefull shower we have ever had. Clean with duvet on bed. Breakfast was good with buffet full of option. As other guest has also mentioned we ordered a wake up call the night before and they asked if we wanted coffee in bed. Early morning we got fresh coffe as promised! Great thing to get ready for an early fllight. Ask the ladies at the desk for some local places to eat in the area they know them all. Next time in Rome I know where I will stay.
