“Wonderful place, wonderful staff”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 13 September 2011

This place is great! Good Price, good location, wonderful staff and clean and decent rooms. It is just a few blocks off the river on the Vatican side (10-15 min walk to Vatican city) 10 minute walk to Piazza del Popolo and about a 30 min walk to the heart of Rome. 2 blocks from the subway, too! Perfect. Though I was traveling alone at this point in my trip, I felt safe staying there and supported by the staff when I had questions about anything. The staff in general and Vincenzo in particular were so great, they even sent me back by ipad charger to the USA free of charge after I left it in the room! Talk about service!

Room Tip: I would ask for the largest room available if you have such an option and it matters to you. My roo...

“We loved loved loved loved it!!!!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 31 August 2011

It is very charming with lots of character. We loved the decoration. the staff was very helpful. Vincenzo is a great, and so was the housekeper (I forgot her name). The breakfast was really good. It was advertised as continental breakfst, but we got a lot more than that. The croissants were baked fresh every morning and they also had prosciutto, cheese, etc. We were very happy tihe service and we will definetely be coming back!!!

“FANTASTICO!!!!!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 7 August 2011

Ideally situated just off the main street & only a few blocks from the Vatican, Castel Sant Angelo etc. Friendly, helpful staff. Lovely clean rooms. Small bathroom, tiny shower but adequate. Would stay there again if we return to Rome. Visit the Leonardo Da Vinci museum just off the Piazza de Popolo & do the crypt & catacombs tour.

“a charming place”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 21 July 2011

The place is lovely, we had a very warm welcome and we felt like home. If you wonder how to make the best out of a small room and you need tips & ideas this is the place to be and take notes! Maximum of comfort on minimum of space!

The breakfast room is very small but comfy. The only minus was the lack of real cappuccino (the coffee at the machine is not so strong) but I guess this is compensated by variety of plates (continental breakfast) having in mind the Italian style of breakfast.

The building itself gives you a Roman taste and the surroundings are safe and very elegant. I stayed in Rome before, inTermini area and I can see a huge difference! The walking distance to sites is a bit relative -according to everybody's endurance..we were walking for 20 mins to Vatican Museums and S.Pietro. There is also the advantage of METRO station -5 minutes walking - at the end of the street.

The personnel is very helpful, check with them about restaurants around!
Beware of Taberna dei Gracchi -round teh corner-they have very spicy prices and hidden costs, they bring you things that look like "from the house" e.g mini bread basket (2 small toast slices=6EUR) glass of champagne, etc. You'd rather order your Lunch/Dinner at a restaurant in Piazza Navona at least you know what you pay for.

“Charming B&B in a Wonderful Location”

The Residenza Vaticana is a charming B&B located near the Vatican. It is still within walking distance to all the major attractions but there are less tourists in this area which is a nice break. It is nicely decorated and it's walls are covered in rich red wallpaper. With the low price, I was a bit surprised on how spacious the rooms are and the wonderful breakfast that is delivered to your room every morning. We had a nice bathroom in our room, complete with all the basics that you will need - shampoo, lotion, soap and even a hair dryer. I would definitely stay here again.
