“BED BUGS!!!”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed 27 July 2011

If you stay here on a good day, expect bed bugs at the very least... If you stay here on a bad day, you will get bed bugs, rude manager, no privacy for your belongings while you're gone, no air conditioning, dirty bathroom, and did I mention BED BUGS?! Do Rome a favor and put this guy out of business. It's not even compairable to a hostel! This is the worst place we ever stayed in our 5 years visiting over 13 countries, 23 cities on 4 continents...

If you stay here, you will not enjoy your evening. For 90 EURO, we could have stayed in a hostel and at least avoided the bed bugs! The manager is really nice, but there should not exist a aworld where you pay almost $120 for bed bugs at a hotel 30 minutes from anything with a do-it-yourself breakfast... Truly terrible and we're actually not the type of people to complain...

“¡DISGUSTING!”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed 6 June 2009

¡Don't even think to stay there! My husband and I booked for three nights but stayed only one because the minute we went to sleep and turned off the light I started to feel my husband scratching so we turn on the light and found the most disgusting situation ever. The bed was full of tiny cockroaches that were coming out the the back of the bed. Of course we didn't sleep at all. It was late and we were very tired but had to leave the lights on all night, and at 6am went out to look for another place to stay.
Sergio, the guy that received us and gave us the key, told us that Rome is very old and for the price that we were paying we couldn't expect too much. That guy is out of his mind. We travel a lot but we never had this terrible experience.
That place should be shut down and Sergio must learn to clean the rooms.

Review:
I booked this accomodation for a friend and I attending an Irish wedding in Roma. I believed it was a Hostel when i confirmed and was pleasently surprised to find it was more like a B&B. Sergio greeted us at the door and showed us our room. The rooms are in a Residenial appartment block (so lovely and quiet & also very private) in what I refer to as the 'Banking centre of rome'. The area is clean and equipped with plenty of Restaurants and cafe's. There is a large Spar shop a couple of blocks from the hostel, very handy for eating in. The room was clean and with plenty of space for two people sharing. The ensuite bathroom picture attached) is very modern ,equipped with Towels, shampoo, soap etc. The room was serviced each day (new towels every 3 days so bring your own if you're fussy)
The accomodation was perfect for our needs, within walking distance of all attractions in rome.
I will definately be staying here again.
