“Clean and nice B&B”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 31 May 2009

It is the first time I stayed in B & B
We are able to find this B&B according to the address, however, since there is no indication (no matter in address or on the front door) to tell which floor does it locate (actually 3/F), it spent me lots of time to find (as the owner was not in there at that moment).

Rooms are big, quite & clean.
Kitchen and bathroom are both nice, big and clean.
Though it is close to train and tram station, it is very quite at night.

The Owner is Italian and cannot speak English very well, but he is very nice and kind that even came at sat night (11pm) to help settle the payment as we need to take a train on early morning next day.

“decent price, good location, a comfortable bed!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 6 April 2009

My husband and I ended up here after the owner offered us this room instead of the one we originally booked at Amoroma Bed and Breakfast. (He had a large group staying a Amoroma, so offered us this instead, saying it would be nicer and less crowded. We never saw the inside of Amoroma, so can't compare.)

Pros:
- Location. Only a few blocks from Roma Termini station.
- Price. We paid a total of 185 euros for a 3-night stay that spanned M-W. I thought that was very reasonable, especially considering the quality of the room.
- Very clean.
- Spacious. Easily the most space I've ever had in a budget hotel room in Europe.
- Comfortable bed. The mattress was very firm, which was a godsend compared to most budget hotel mattresses.
- Unsecured Wi-Fi. I don't know whether it is the hotel itself or another of the tenants in the building, but we were able to pull up the internet on my husband's iPod touch, which was useful in a couple of circumstances.

Cons:
- "Private bathroom." It was a private bathroom - but across the hall. I was mislead when booking. (It was a big deal, as the bathroom was nice, but I was irritated that it wasn't attached to the room.)
- Getting ahold of the owner. Massimo is very nice, and speaks just enough English to get the job done, but he was difficult to get ahold of. When we arrived, it took us about an hour to track him down (we had to find an internet/phone cafe and call him). We also had to call when no one showed up at the appointed checkout time. Fortunately a Spanish couple had checked in by then and allowed us to borrow their cellphone to get ahold of Massimo (a comical combination of fragmented high school Spanish plus google translator - see unsecured WiFi above - helped us get our cellphone request across!).
- Noise. Lots of street noise all night.
