Worst hostel experience of my life. Black mold in bathrooms, toilet plugged in one bathroom all 3 days we were there. Sink plugged all 3 days in another. Standing water in bathroom. Door handle fell off, locking someone in bathroom in middle of night. No curtain on one bathroom, nice naked view of Rome while showering 

Bare wires exposed in our room. Floor was gross throughout the facility. When I complained, they said the problems were mine, because it was the travelers who make the mess, not them. Marginal janitorial service. Breakfast isn’t worth mentioning.

Save your money and sleep on the street.

I'm sorry to see the previous reviewer had an unpleasant experience at Hotel Anakin Stargate, as my stay was most enjoyable.

The part of the hotel we stayed in had been recently renovated, so everything was in good condition and very clean. We'd booked a twin room but we actually had a double bed and a single bed. The room was quite a reasonable size (by European standards) but could get a little noisy if the windows were open because it faced Via Palestro.

There was plenty of cupboard and drawer space and lots of electrical outlets. We even had a mini refrigerator which was good for keeping some snacks and coffee making things on hand. The bathroom was immaculate and the water pressure in the shower was probably the best I've had in Italy. Security was excellent as you had to be buzzed into that section of the building by reception, who had video cameras installed so they can see who is buzzing.

Breakfast was as expected, a coffee and a pastry, but was included in the rate so no complaints there. The staff at the reception desk were friendly and very helpful, even when we had to check out at 4.30am to make it to Fiumicino for an early flight.

All in all, given the price we paid, I was very happy with our stay at Hotel Anakin Stargate. If I ever return to Rome and am travelling on a similar budget, I would definitely consider staying here again.

Anakin Stargate Hotel -

This place was really close to Termini station. About a 8 minute walk or less. The hotel was in this building that had a few other hotels too. So Anakin Stargate had like 5 rooms maybe. It was odd.
The room was confined. Had a tv that didn't work and a computer that didnt work. The shower door didn't close. So when you're showering the water is splattering everywhere and making a mess. Not to mention that the shower was very small. You could hardly move in there.
My friend who stayed in the same room as me complained that her bed was dirty because it still had someone elses hair on it.
I would never stay there again. We stayed at another place the night before we came here for around the same rate and it was the best place ever. Try it: Hotel Domus (I think thats what its called) Its just across the street from Anakin Stargate Hotel, Via Palestro 87, 00185
