If you have to stay here--because of its location and low cost--you will survive. It is clean and not completely terrible. You may experience a sudden and complete loss of water while you are showering, an overhead light that blinks on and off all night long, a staff member who sits at desk and ignores the buzzer while a group of guests collect at the door ... any number of little annoyances (the shower thing is pretty bad in Rome during the summer.) The neighborhood is not bad and being next to Termini is quite convenient if you are in Rome for a longer time and want to get to some more far flung spots. But really: Rome is a big city with lots of hotel options. If we return, we'll try for a better one, maybe upgrade to a 3 star hotel.
