Arco del Lauro was simple, yet very comfortable. The room was modern and cozy, with a nice new bathroom, good bed. It's also perfectly situated in the quiet side of Trastevere close to the river, with easy walking access to most of the sites in Rome (as well as the busier part of Trastevere) and close to public transportation. Lorenza and Daniela were great hosts, providing advice and assistance whenever we needed it. Highly recommended!

My family returned to Arco del Lauro for second visit, this time for Christmas and New Years. We had an absolutely wonderful trip. The room was perfect, very clean and quiet, and the location is impossible to beat. Just a short walk to the Roman Forum and and all the sights, and the food in local restaurants close to the room was outstanding and affordable. Our family will never stay anywhere else in Rome!

My friend and I stayed here during the holidays, 2011-12. We had a wonderful stay. The staff - Lorenza and Daniela - were wecoming and so knowledgable about the area. Daniela helped us with directions, restaurant suggestions, secured taxis for us at very early hours and was just wonderful throughout the holiday season.

You can walk to just about any of the major attractions from here. Many wonderful restaurants and bars in the neighborhood.

When I go back to Rome I will definately stay there again. You really can't go wrong if you spend your time there!!

We stayed here for 3 nights in November 2011. Its a lovely and very clean place. The internet in house is really useful and Lorenza & Danielle are very helpful. They arranged our transport to & from the airport which was really hassle free & worth the extra few euros. Also gave us some great recommendations for food locally. Its a great location for walking into the main tourist spots but gives you a great local feeling when you get back after a days walking! Its really safe at night walking the streets around Arco del Lauro & there are quite a few really good inexpensive restaurants a stone throw from the place. For me this was great value for a great location and good accommodation all round.
