The hotel was convenient to the Termini and only about a 10 minute walk, just watch your personal belongings while in Rome. The room was large, but the bed wasn't too comfortable. The bathroom was adequate, but definitely showing it's age. It was a fair deal for the location, price, and time of year. The elevator was broken on arrival, so we had to cart our things up 5 flights of stairs. It was fixed the next day. There was A/C in the room, which was important with the 80 degree August weather. The front desk staff was extremely friendly and helpful and all spoke fluent English and were actually pretty funny and entertaining. The Rome airport misplaced my baggage for a period, and they were more than happy to speak with them in Italian and help figure out the confusion. They also had some great suggestions for attractions, transportation, and tours. One of the best parts was the restaurant directly across the street from the hotel. We tried many, but this was the best deal and meal we found. Great pasta, pizza, crustinis, and service. It's one of the few places that do not assess a cover charge (yes cover charges for restaurants...usually those close to the popular attractions...I was surprised too) and it was entertaining to watch the staff corral new customers as they walk down the sidewalk. One important piece of info about the hotel: no visitors that are not guests are allowed in the buidling. If you're in the city with friends that are staying at another hotel, be aware that you won't be able to hang in your hotel together.
