Only a short 5ish min walk to Termini station, the hostel was well located for connections arriving and leaving from Rome, plus also metro within Rome. Room was austere I suppose, but very spatious and comfortable (four bed ensuite). Underbed lockers were very handy. Could do with having individual bed lamps so main light doesn't have to come on for late comers-home... Room had a bathroom with shower in it that didn't work, and separate shower cubicle - just meant a move from one to the other to get changed. Staff were very helpful with any questions, free wireles with your own device - but I had to use hostel computers (free for half hour), only three so you could have a wait. Didn't check the bar out so can't comment, but I met more people in this one hostel room than I did anywhere else! Room got a bit stuffy, some issue about having windows open sending the temp right up...But I would have no qualm going back to this hostel. And be sure to nip into the pizza shop three doors down on the corner - can't beat it for price and taste, and the bella behind the counter was cute to boot!

For the price I paid for a bed here in May 2010, I would have expected more. A weekend night was 41 Euros!!! The weeknights were 35 Euros. This did not even include a breakfast. I was surprised to find mixed-sex dorms, but I guess this might be common in some hostels. Cleanliness was OK, nothing special. Quite noisy as doors slammed all day and night in the hallway, and kitchen and dumpster noise echoed up the large concrete courtyard that the windows all faced on to. Management said there was air conditioning but if there, in fact, was - it did not work one bit. Spent 4 hot, sweaty nights here (everywhere else was booked up - book EARLY in Rome) but managed to meet some awesome people in the process. Did not spend any time at the hostel as there was no common kitchen/area, other than the bar (which I should mention was decently priced).

The room was very clean and well decorated, basic as expected but comfortable. Secure storage under bed was very useful as we shared a room with others. The price was incredibly reasonable and left plently from my budget for spending in the city! The bar downstairs has a bit of a rubbish atmosphere but good for a few cheap drinks before heading out.

All in all a clean, well priced, safe and well located hostel for the young traveller.

The reason we booked it was because we liked the name and it was near most places we wanted to see. Am I glad that we booked this place. The people were nice, we had a great time with the in house get togethers and met some very interesting people. They gave us good advise on places to see and how to get there. One of our friends is visually handicapped and he did not have one problem at this hostel. Recommended 101%
