“It's a con - don't part with your credit card details”

Bella Roma took my deposit and then later wrote to tell me they were cancelling my reservation. They refuse to refund my deposit. I think this is a con - just don't risk it. There are no good reviews of this hostel anyway, but it seemed a convenient location so I took a chance. Who knows how many phantom bookings they've taken and kept all the deposits at EUR20 a time? Avoid Bella Roma and avoid hostelworld.com. In the end we got a proper hotel for less money than this hostel, why mess around? Go elsewhere.
