We stayed in September 2009. We booked on Hostel world and paid a very reasonable rate for Rome. We arrived at a block of flats to find a post it with the landladies number on. We had to go over to the bus station across the road in what felt like the middle of nowhere to use the pay phone to call her. She arrived within 10 minutes. We then were walked about 10 minutes to a block of flats. We were shown to our flat, which was just a residential flat on the outskirts of Vatican City. Our flat was actually next to the landladies own flat so she was on hand if there was any issues, she was a lovely lady. The flat was clean and breakfast was nothing special just stocked cupboards with mini muffins, milk and yoghurts. Great coffee though !! Rome is so amazing and if you just want a cheap place to stay so you can really explore then this is the place to stay. It felt like we had rented a flat and it was just fine for what we wanted. Oh and Sardinian restaurant out front of apartments do an amazing meze of meat or fish. AMAZING but pricey - no menu so ask for price before you order. We think we may have been ripped off ... but so amazing was worth it.

Location: about a 10 minute walk to the Vatican City. Area was quiet, yet safe. 20-30 (depending on traffic) minute bus ride into roma terminal. Several good local restaurants nearby. Room: was comfortable and value for money. Clean rooms and clean bathrooms with good water pressure. Breakfast was standard, nothing to get excited over (yoghurt, packaged croissants, juice, italian dried toasted bread, and spreads). There's no reception and the owner is offsite, but is she is contactable by phone should problems arise. Overall, a great stay, would definitely stay here again!

This bed & breakfast is just 5 minutes walking from St. Peter's Square and is less than a block from the bus station with frequent service to other parts of the city. The owner, Filomena, is accessible and responsive by phone, but is not on-site. A housekeeper is there in the morning to set up a simple breakfast of yogurt, toast, rolls, coffee and to clean the three sparse rooms. Do not use the limo service Filomena offers. The driver overcharged us. I paid the stated limo fee of 55 euros the morning I arrived. My husband had to arrive a day later. Since the driver did not speak English at all, I thought it would be helpful to ride with him to the airport the morning my husband arrived. The driver had me wait inside the airport by myself for my husband and then accompany him to the limo. Still the driver charged us double for this trip, another 110 euros. He had to drive out from the city to the airport anyway to pick up my husband, just as he had done the previous morning for me. Yet, instead of 55 euros he charged me the previous day, he charged us 110 euros the next day, because he picked me up first. If Filomena had told me the charge would be 110 euros, I woud have let the driver pick up my husband without my help!

Just back yesterday from Daniel's and have to agree with everything I've read prior to our visit. The apartments are very well appointed and looked after. The young lady who comes in each morning to prepare breakfast and clean rooms is extremely consciencious. If you need warm drinks on the fly or the chance to self cater, the kitchenette is flexible enough. As mentioned before there is a supermarket nearby, turn left out the gate and down about 300m to the corner. It's a little pricey but good range of stuff. Bus stop and train literally across the road wil get you just about anywhere and the frequency of bus service is such that you can get in and out of Rome swiftly in middle of the day if you feel the need to rest up. Yes there are only three rooms at present, but the owner is rennovating the neighbouring apartments and wants to keep the prices at the same rate so help us fans out and get going there!!! It's a great choice!
