“The Best Vacation Rental in Italy”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 14 November 2011

Girasolereale Roma Rental was the most incredible experience in all of my travels.

This rental was at the end of a 6 week trip throughout Europe and I was completely unprepared for the wonderful experience I had.

It began when I landed from a cruise in Civitavecchia. I took the group transfer to the Visconti Hotel where Barbara and her husband Marco picked me and my friend up in a luxurious van which accommodated all of our "American" luggage without a hitch.

They then took us for coffee and Croissants and showed us the neighborhood and then to the Apartment, located just outside Testaccio old town by the Pyramid metro.

The apartment was on the 7th floor with a fabulous view of Rome. The large rooms and spacious bathroom were a welcome relief to the smaller places I had been in before.

The apartment was well appointed with everything you could possible need or want including coffee machines both American and European, Satellite TV and a Jacuzzi tub and shower.

Not only did my fabulous hosts provide me with a list of restaurants and groceries, they gave me guide books and metro maps. They even went as far as to give me an Italian cell phone to contact them in any situation.

Whenever I phoned for directions or questions they were right there.

I was treated more like a family member then a paying customer and it added new meaning to the word Hospitality.

When it was time to go they picked me up and drove me to Fumicino for my flight.

The owners have several other B & B and vacation units around Rome, and I for one would never stay anywhere else!

“Oasis in Rome”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 28 September 2009

This is a real gem - on the edge of a national park in the amazing suburb of EUR in Rome. Peaceful and great rooms - clean, spacious and wonderfully refurbished, with seperate entrance. Marco and Barbara are great hosts who try to help wherever they can. I will be back, I hope

“Home away from Home”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 29 June 2009

When travelling to Rome I was a little worried as my daughter was only 1.5 yeras old then...and I needed a Home away from home so that I can get all the amenities like a kitchen /oven, ample space/balcony etc for my kid.
Indeed this appartment of Barbara fulfilled all my needs....and she was very helping ...she was available at the phone all the time !!
If i come to Rome again ...i will be there!

“Beautifully green location.”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 17 August 2008

Stayed in March 2008 in the Girasole Reale apartment which is on the second floor of Barbara and Marco Reales home in Villaggio Azurro. The location is green and and quiet. There is a bus stop near by. The bus takes you in 15 minutes to the Eur metro station. Barbara and Marco took every effort to help me in visiting the historical sites of Rome. I certainly do recommend Girasole Reale.

“Loved Girasolereale Rome B&B”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 29 May 2008

If you are looking for a wonderful stay in the outside of the city, this is the place to stay. Barbara and Marco are wonderful hosts with a lovely B&B. The flowers and garden are just beautiful to look at and the hot tub is just wonderful to relax in after a busy day touring all there is to see in Rome. While visiting there, Marco made dinner for us that was just delicious!!!
I would definetly reccomend this B&B to anyone and would definetly stay there again. There is a supermarket within walking distance from their location and the bus stop into Rome is about 1300 meters from the front door. Barbara and Marco will also take you right to the train station if they are around or if you make arrangements with them. They are both very friendly and willing to help you in any way they can.
