“Home away from home”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 19 February 2011

Exceptional venue near Vatican. Real "home away from home". For those wondering - "Gli Artisti" is actually a flat which consists of three room. "Yellow", "Pink" and "Green" - "Green" and "Yellow" are en-suite and "Pink" has bathroom just outside in the corridor (not a problem, you will be provided with the key and you can close the bathroom if you feel like).
Kitchen is fully equipped (coffee machine is available) and there is always bread, jam, butter, juice, various pastries for breakfast and you can cook for yourself if you want.
It's a bit noisy in the morning (if you're a late sleeper ad myself, byt tolerable).

Vatican City is just few minutes ago, we used metro only once to get to Ostia Antica, all other attractions are easily accessible without the use of transport.

Really great place to stay. I would definitely recommend and will try to stay there next time I'm in Rome (which will be pretty soon, because Rome is a wonderful city to explore).

P.S. By the way, you may try eating out in "Da Vito e Dina" and "L'isola della pizza" - this two great places are on the same street, just downstairs.

P.P.S. Thanks a lot to Alessandro, the owner of the B&B! I didn't have a chance to say goodbye in person.

“Beautiful place near Vatican”

The place is very close to Vatican and within a 15 minutes walking distance from Piazza del Popolo. It's very clean, our room was pretty spatious and the staff was very friendly. However, since the place is not very big, the conversations from the dining room can be heard in the room despite the closed doors, this being somewhat annoying at 8 AM.

“Perfectly located near the vatican”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 14 November 2010

The second part of our honeymoon took us to rome!

When we turned up outside, the building had scaffolding and didnt look particularly appealing. However we appreciate that older buildings have to be maintained and inside we couldnt have wished for a nicer, cleaner, comfier room. Inside was spotless and beautifully decorated and furnished.

Alexsandro (not sure if spelt correctly!) was the perfect host, he was friendly and polite, helping us with our bags and answering any questions on rome we had to ask.
Breakfast was a self service arrangement in the morning in the breakfast room, where you could chose from fresh croissants, coffee, toast, cereal etc. Italian style.

We spent a while looking for a cheap good place to stay and out of the many we looked at over the internet this place was perfect! located near the vatican and a tube stop so we could easily reach the other tourist spots.

We would certainly stay there again.

All the best
Dave and Lizzy

“A little bit of heaven in central Rome”

I researched places to stay for many an hour before I decided on this B&B. The reviews from Trip Advisor guests persuaded me to make my reservations at this delightful place. We couldn't have had a better location-- a few minutes walk to the Vatican. The B&B was absolutely charming. The rooms were spotless, nicely decorated. We stayed at one location two blocks from our friends in a beautifully renovated set of apartments the first night we arrived. Alessandro moved our belongings the next day to the same location as our friends. We were in another charming spotlessly clean set of rooms. We had breakfast, croissants and juice and an endless supply of coffee on the patio. I can't recommend this place more highly. We were in a great old neighborhood, close to the metro and close to good restaurants. We would love to stay there again if we are lucky enough to visit Rome again. Alessandro, the owner, was charming and very helpful.
