Location! Location! Location! The B & B Brancaccio in Rome is within short walking distance of major sites, such as the Coliseum, Roman Forum and Major Basilicas, as well as local shops, restaurants and markets. Also, major transportation hubs - train, metro, bus - are around the corner. Staying at B & B Brancaccio for eight (8) days as a gay couple, allowed us full access to sites of interest in the city, while, at the same time, we felt as if we were among local friends in a typical, local, residential neighborhood in the city of Rome. The proprietors of the B & B Brancaccio were very hospitable, welcoming and accommodating, eager to assist with all our questions, even meeting us at the train station! We had such a terrific time, we were sad to leave.

I love Claudio and Alba, the two that run the "B&B" and live in the apartment. This idea was charming to me because I wanted to stay with Romans and still be central. However, in application, it didn't satisfy. There can be up to 5 or 6 people sharing one bathroom. And because the building has a courtyard, any noise anywhere in the building is amplified (during the day this is charming, not at night). I found I could stay downstairs at the acasacarra for the same price but my own bath and infinitely quieter. great location, Rome's chinatown. Walk south on Meraluna for a great Roman neighborhood and great inexpensive food.
