My family (four adults) was visiting Italy for 10 days and this was the worst hotel experience that we had. The hotel was extremely poorly run. First, it took almost 2 hours to get settled into our rooms because they were not prepared at all. We had booked two double rooms, and they gave us one room with only one twin bed in it and a second room whose key did not work. They tried fixing the key and finding another room on that floor but could not do either, so they finally sent us to the top floor, to what initially looked like a nice pair of new rooms with small balconies. However, that floor of the hotel is clearly not yet finished. The rooms did not have phones (at all), the supposedly free wifi did not reach that high up so you had to go down to a chair on the lobby of the 2nd floor to use it, and the kicker: there was no hot water. When we asked about the hot water, they said they had to reset the boiler, after which one of the two rooms got water that was lukewarm, but the other room's water remained cold. I took cold showers both mornings and they weren't hot at night either. When we came back to the room after a day of sightseeing no one had cleaned up the room or fixed the bed or anything. Plus, the breakfast was poor, the workers seem overworked and underpaid, the location is not very central (we were okay with this, because the hotel is clearly cheaper than some others), and the service is just generally pretty awful. The one pro: the breakfast area has a good, functional coffeemaker. The upshot is that I would not recommend this hotel, even for budget travelers, until they management gets its act together.
