Stayed in a couple of hotels during this summer trip with friends. This was by far the best value for money. The room rates were very economical, whilst the rooms were large, clean and air-conditioned. This came as welcome relief as other hotels in the same / slightly higher priced range were charging extra for A/C usage. The room was neatly decorated with an interesting period ceiling & some antique tables as well which was a nice touch. The bathroom door didnt close & lock, but that was not really a big hindrance. The lighting in the rooms could be improved however as it was quite dreary at night.
There were decent restaurants just around the corner from the hotel down Via del Boschetto which was very convenient, and the hotel was within easy reach of the Metro - Cavour as well as the Colosseum.
It was a tad bit hard to locate as its in the real narrow sidestreets, but that is essentially what Rome is all about, with these really narrow passageways & hidden alleys.
