Ah...Stella.... who owns this property is your typical, sweet, Italian lady. We would definately stay here again when we visit Rome.
Stella's Place, and that is what it is, her own little home on a quiet street a little ways from the main attractions of Rome. For the value, it was great. There was 3 of us and we all had our own twin sized bed in a room with a large window overlooking the street. At times, you could hear some of the louder people outside, but thats what you get in a big city. She gives you a key to your room and a key to the main entrance. She is on the third floor of this residential building. Stella's place is very clean and you do have to share a bathroom with those in the 3 other rooms. But we never had to wait or had a problem with bathroom timing.
Stella was very welcoming and although her english wasn't fluent, she really tried and we had no problems with communication. She let us keep water/pop in her fridge and she also offered to make us breakfst in the morning. We stayed here for 2 nights. There is no television in the room we had, but frankly, if I'm in Rome, I'm not there to watch tv...there is thousands of years of history there...who wants to watch tv!!
One thing is though that she is a little bit of a walk from the metro station, but the bus system and metro system are great that you can easily get around.
I would stay here again in a heartbeat.
