I stayed at Stella's House for 3 nights with my girlfriend in may 2006.
I paid 55€/night for the two of us. Wich is quiet cheap for Roma.
The location of the hostel is 10 min walk from termini station. Quiet easy to find. (if you have a map)
The district is popular, you can find restaurants (not too expansive), quiet good as well but may be not the most romantic part of the city. There is some adult bars and cinema in the street of the hostel.
Inside the hostel, we had one room for two. The room was clean and the bed was ok. The window hasn't a good isolation that you can hear the noise in the night. For me it was ok because I used to sleep in noisy place but for my girlfriend it was more difficult to sleep strong.
There is 2 bathrooms with wc, one hasn't warm water, and if the hostel is full you will have to wait for the availlability.
The staff is friendly and trustfully, Stella is a typical italian "Mama" ;-)
The breakfast is a continental one, but I deplore the lack of fresh food like bread, fruit. There was a kind of industrial biscuits and croissants with coffee and brick fruit juice.
I think this hostel is a correct one for this price in Roma. If you want a more confortable place, put 100€ for 2 and go to a real hotel with ensuite room in a more romantic district. But if you want to enjoy Rome and stay centrally with a cheap budget, and don't want to share the room with others, Stella's House is one of this place.
