“Michelle is as wonderful as the reviews say...and the B&B is great too.”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 23 December 2010

I thought B&B Cicerone - Michelle's other B&B looked wonderful and good value for 3 days in Rome. I was booking two rooms - one for me and a friend and another for a couple who were celebrating their first wedding anniversary in Rome. I was a bit nervous for it to work out - especially for my friends celebrating the anniversary. The booking seemed a bit informal which made me nervous and I wasn't surprised when we ended up getting bumped to B&B Tibullo - the sister B&B. Not sure what happened but when I discussed with Michelle - she was happy to move us back...only difference is that Tibullo has ensuite batrooms and Cicerone does not. After a check with the anniversary duo, we opted to go with Tibullo after all and for the price we had originally confirmed for Cicerone! All of this to say that the reviews are right. Michelle is as accommodating and wonderful as indicated. She was there when we arrived and welcomed us with espresso and lots of good advice on where to go.. She also was able to book another room for some other friends of ours at the last minute. The rooms were lovely - yes the blue room is bigger if you are sharing but the pink room is just fine too. Breakfast is okay - it was nice to get the espresso but truthfully - unless you like biscuits and pastries - you'll probably want to get something elsewhere. The location is good - within a liberal walking distance to what I would consider the centre of Rome...but much closer to the Vatican (good for early morning line ups!) and kind of far away from things like the Coliseum etc. Overall it was an excellent experience. Did I mention how great Michelle is?!

“Michelle the Tibullo were great!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 8 August 2010

I had originally booked a room at the B&B Cicerone, one of Michelle's other properties but after a long business trip before and some difficulties Michelle moved me to Tibullo. This is a wonderfully clean, spacious, private Bed & Breakfast close to the Vatican and within walking distance to major attractions. It was quiet at night, the breakfast was substantial and delicious, enough to take for a mid-morning snack. Michelle goes above and beyond to take care of all of your needs. I was in the pink room which has it's own in-suite bathroom (nice and roomy) but the blue room is much larger for more than one person. Keep in mind when travelling and arriving late at night it is helpful to have a cell phone and working telephone numbers! Wonderful location, staff and service I will stay here again on a return trip!

“Shopping and great time”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 6 July 2010

We've booked one room at B&B Tibullo via internet a few months ago . Our stay there was very pleasent for me and my best girlfriend, the staff was friendly, english speaker, which was very important to us as we don't speak italian. The room and the bathroom were clean and cozy and the breakfast was very tasty and healthy. The location is perfect to visit all the important thing, to go shopping, to enjoy Rome! All that and the management and staff makes a perfect match!

“Excellent stay at Tibullo B&B!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 2 May 2010

This is our first experience staying at B&B and I must say we loved it. We are so glad our friend who stayed here before recommended this place to us. If we go back to Rome in the future, we will not bother to look elsewhere!

Room & bathroom - our room is so spacious, cozy, very clean and even though was facing the street side, it was quiet. Our bed is so comfortable, we feel so well rested every night. We look forward to coming "home" at the end of each day of our travel in Rome. We had a very clean private bathroom, but not ensuite which was fine for us but they do have rooms with ensuite bathrooms.

Location - close to Vatican City and near to Ottavia metro station, which makes it so convenient to get around by foot. Sometimes we come back to the B&B in between sightseeing just to chill out. Lots of nice eating places nearby which was recommended by our host with good menu and reasonable price.

Host - Michelle and her team is so helpful, friendly and welcoming! There is always someone around the B&B (I think it is attended to 24 hours) so whenever we needed something or ask something, we could get to someone. Michelle speaks good English so all the rooms arrangement are completed very efficiently. Her team even though they speak very little English had no problem understanding our requests/questions and they had made the place feel like home for us. The breakfast was also a nice treat, especially the croissant and ham & cheese toast.

“Awesome stay...”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 4 February 2010

First time I stayed at B&B Tibullo and was absolutely great... The room was incredibly tidyed up, the aspect was charmful, breakfast was delicious, the staff was welcoming, especialy Michelle. I spent 5 days in Rome, and at the end of the week I felt better staying in B&B Tibullo rather than going for a walk in Rome. By the way, the spot is great, just 5 minutes walk to get to Vatican.. practicaly in the heart of Rome. I strongly reccomend Tibullo. I can't think of a better B&B in Rome, and, believe me, I searched a lot.
