“Basic ,but handy for the station.”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 25 July 2011

You get what you pay for if you're on a budget.Room was small but clean.Staff were helpful. The hotel could do with a bit of a facelift but we were'd expecting the Ritz.Don't expect great nightlife nearby.a few irish bars near by but 8 pound a pint, but you're not in Rome to party.Go to the supermarket round the corner and get a bottle of vodka and drink that before you go out.Don't get conned on Spanish steps .A bit scruffy in the local area,my partner Collette found it a bit intimating but I was fine .Very handy for some of the historical sites.

Room Tip: Don't expect great views out of your hotel window.

“small two stars hotel”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 14 July 2011

This is a small two stars hotel a few steps away from termini railway station. The location is just excellent. Even if it is a 2 stars hotel in the room you can find a fridge(empty) and a safety box.

“Cheap, clean, convenient”

Our family of 4 (children 11 and 8) stayed 4 nights at the Teti. The quad room (1 double, 2 twins) was very clean (and cleaned daily), quiet, and comfortable for us. There were plenty of towels, the beds were firm and comfortable and the room was warm. The only issue was the shower - it was very clean and worked well, but was very small. My 6'2" husband's shoulders nearly touched the walls of the shower as he used it! Bigger people (i.e. bigger around) might actually not be able to use it at all. The staff were efficient (but not necessarily warm) and all of our needs were provided for. The breakfast was simple but perfectly adequate - fresh brioche rolls, sweet croissants and danish, cold cereals, packaged cookies breads, and jams. Drinks were from a machine, but we are tea drinkers so can't comment on the quality of the coffee. Free wifi was great - used my iPod touch to plan the next day's sightseeing and catch up with e-mail - and there is a laptop for guest use in the small lobby. The location of the hotel was perfect - just 2 blocks from the station so getting around was very easy, and when we left Rome by train is was a quick walk with our rolling suitcase to the station. There are many restaurants in the area - we ate somewhere different every night. We feel it was a good budget choice for our family.

“Good Value”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 17 January 2011

The hotel is small and on the second floor of a old building, very typical in Rome. The room was confortable and exactly as shown on the internet. They offer free internet access and a laptop on the lobby for the guests. The breakfast is simple, but ok. The location is very good also, just beside the Termini station and metro and a lot of good restaurants just beside.

Cons: The elevator is on the middle of the stairs, so you have to carry your luggage some steps. The staff speaks basic english.

“Budget hotel, clean and just as expected.”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 20 September 2010

The hotel was very affordable, and clean and very safe and offered free wifi internet. We booked as we were looking for a very cheap hotel on our return to Rome for one last night before flying out, it was exactly as expected. A great place to stay on a budget. It's a bit tricky to find as it is in a plaza with many other small hotels, the sign is on the wall and does not stick out onto the road. We had no issue, just keep your eyes open. Overall, on a budget, this hotel has everything you need.

The shower in this hotel was like a 3x3x7 coffin. You litterally can not extend your bent elbows fully to wash your hair, or bend over to pick up the soap if you drop it. Also, the AC was an additional charge per night, it was cool in the evenings during our stay so we did not need it. The hotel is on the 3rd floor of the block, there is a lift after the first 8 stairs. The area behind the hotel, closer to Termini should be avoided at night, it's a bit shady. However the street the hotel is on is very safe.
